For those of you who don't know, the digital editions are available in many different places with EACH having a different encoding.

If you bought the kindle edition, you're not getting everything you should be getting.

For example, here are the sizes for the first book:
    Star Wars
    Amazon: 317.15 MB
    B&N: 427 MB
    Itunes: 1.10GB

The videos on the iBook version are 720p and the pictures are much higher quality than the Kindle and Nook versions.

Today, Random House confirmed to me that they provide the raw materials to each distributor and they, in turn, re-encode.

So if you purchased the Kindle version and want the highest quality possible, email amazon and voice your concern. I've been going back and forth with them and they confirm that they compressed it to be a much smaller size.

I have all three "making of" books (ANH, TESB, ROTJ) from iTunes, and they are wonderful. The imagery is very detailed. Lots of typos and repeated paragraphs tho.
