So far, the weather forecast is partly sunny and 62F for Sunday with no rain for Saturday - Monday.

 

So we wont get the flu but just a cold little nip of the autumn air...
I wonder if the Dinosaur is walking distance

I officially can't come- my company from out of town is planning a trip for us to NYC.

I don't know why, but that cracked me up....

I don't think they'd turn away any volunteers. But, if you didn't submit your info to Duane then he didn't register you for a volunteer t-shirt.

from state street where is the stand for water located and what time should i be there?

 

I'm mostly waterproof in costume so no objections from me if folks want to.

 

Until I hear differently from Duane, I'm working under the assumption that (like last year) we are not permitted to wear our costumes - that we need to be wearing the provided volunteer t-shirt. Although I think a Stormtrooper wearing the t-shirt would be quite amusing now that I think about it...

Nevets - The official parking is the Frontier Field VIP lot. We need to be there by 9am.

Awww - now the weather forecasts say possible light showers or "occasional lake effect rain showers" for the weekend and 48-53F for a high on Sunday, but it is only Wednesday. Hopefully the rain will clear out of here in time for the walk.

 

Definately can't come this weekend, but I'll be around eventually. I havn't been around this summer- I was at basic training until the end of July, and now I'm really really busy with school, ROTC, and reserves stuff. I'm sure that I'll catch up with everyone eventually, lol.

 

Doc_Bev, You're right I suppose it would be quite amusing if I could get the shirt over my armor... lol

 

I should be there on time I'm comming from the mall area in henretta. how much for parking so I can puy it aside on friday.

Parking is free. We might be able to pass you off as one of the Volunteers who aren't coming so we can get you a T-Shirt .

Have we decided what time we are all gathering on Sunday?

 

So far our current plan is dropping off Connor at 8:30am and being to Frontier Field by 9am. Will that be too late? The website says registration begins at 9am, so I thought we might be OK although I know that some folks start walking sooner than that.

If 9am is OK then we can meet at the volunteer tent then. We can have one "veteran" stand closer to the road and funnel newbies over to the volunteer tent. Then go from there to our water station as a group.

I don't know how I'd get into the city otherwise. Will the inner loop still be open?
I have a hard enough time getting around in the city (and getting places on time) without having to add closed roads and detours.

I could be wrong but Nicky I think you are ok you's probably come up 490 get off at Plymouth av & FF field is there. Or you could take 104 to lake av & come up that.

 

I planned to get there around 8:30. I'm sure 9:00 will work. Our volunteer cards said 9:00 but, I remember our assignments being messed up last year, I'm sure we will have some of that again..... :-(
