    MAN CUBS
    (or How The Galaxy Was Tamed)

    [image=http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/4/43/Ossus_Exterior.jpg]

    I. Introduction

    Welcome to the Man Cubs Resource Thread!

    The game is the spiritual successor to a previous game of mine, and is loosely based on a number of fairy tales, fables and other stories (most prominently The Jungle Book, at least to begin with).

    The story is meant to be an ancient Star Wars myth that explains how a democratic galactic government sprang up and how humans became the dominant force within it. I can see it as the kind of tale that Obi-Wan Kenobi might narrate to his young new padawan, for example. Essentially a fairy tale, it has no ?factual accuracy? regarding actual canonical events.

    This thread serves as a place to gather all the useful information that would clutter up the main thread.

    IV. Setting

    [image=http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/5910/themancubsgalaxy.jpg]

    Below are brief descriptions of the most important planets in the game so far. Both the list and map will be periodically updated.

    Tython

    A mysterious world within the Deep Core. As yet unexplored, but as circumstances conspire to draw our cubs towards it, there is a growing sense that Tython is a place where destinies will be fulfilled.

    Prakith

    A volcanic, scarred hellhole. Ashclouds gather in the sky above the unforgiving grey and red terrain. This was where the girls stumbled across Togorian Queen Mother Kali, reigning over captured "subjects" from inside the Citadel, a flying fortress ensconced within the mountain range. Nearby is the Dome, a nine-level underground prison built to contain a monster- Kroni Khan, demon father of Shere Khan, and now dead at the hands of Elora.

    Coruscant

    The capital of the galaxy.

    Chandrila

    A beautiful planet of thriving cities and varied wildlife. Famous for its cultural offerings. Home to a sizable community of Togorian nobles, including Jaguar, one of Khan's Four Generals, and Doctor Damanaka, the Royal Physician.

    Alderaan

    Once one of the most beautiful worlds in the Core, known for its vibrant ecosystem and dense jungles. It was home to many different beings, most of whom shunned technological advancement in favour of a more simple existence. It was here that the Shistavanen wolf pack raised the Man Cubs, teaching them the ways and laws of the Jungle, until a Togorian assault brutally shattered their idyllic existence. Much of the forest in which the cubs had been raised was burned to the ground, and the Pack and their friends were hunted down.

    Mindor

    A grassy world of farmers and drifters inside the Inner Rim. It went largely ignored by both the Rakatans and the Togorians, until the Man children were brought there by Bagheera to rendezvous with his trusted comrades. When word got to Shere Khan that humans had been spotted on Mindor, he dispatched General Nagaina to interrogate every individual who might have come across them. When she failed to uncover any valuable information, she returned to her warship and spent a fortnight razing every settlement on the planet to the ground.

    Obroa-Skai

    The Obroans are canny isolationists, observing the goings-on of galactic politics and the shifts in galactic power, but keeping themselves clean of the mess. Across the frozen oceans in the heart of the great tundra they have constructed a labyrinthe complex housing vast repositories of information. Overseeing the facility is Buldeo, Director of Imperial Intelligence (and secret founder of a rebellion against his master).

    Togoria

    The place where the current Empire was born. A wild, forested world that was once populated by innumerable savage tribes and warrior clans, until they were united by Shere Khan (who was at the time a young prince, newly escaped from slavery to the Rakata). It remains a hostile and dangerous destination for uninvited visitors, and exists primarily as a breeding ground for future Togorian soldiers.

    Kashyyyk

    Nar Shaddaa

    Sullust

    Sluis Van

    Hoth

    Uvena

    Ko Vari

    Criton's Point

    Panchaea
