Mandie helmet in Forever Young

Remember that Mandie helmet in that Rep comic, Forever Young? Not the ambiguous corpse scene, that was a background thing. I'm wondering why the final panel of the last page specificaly showed a helmet lying on the grass.

 

Well, if this is a Mando helmet, then it's a good question, indeed.

Looks like a standard droid trooper head to me...or maybe there was a geonosian mandalorian on the planet?

 

Its clearly a battle droid head...

No, no... now, lets back up a sec... I supposed a Mandie *could*, herhaps, wear that as a hat... I mean, come on, lets give Ex the benefit of the doubt here.. He could have discovered some new secret Mandalorian power hat, just like Waru's... except much dirtier and... well, its kinda crap, isn't it?

I thought I had remembered discussions regarding that last page panel, that it was a new-design helmet. Not to be confused with the background Mando bodies eariler on. Strange. Rare that I misremember something.
