Some possible plotholes in the story: Wasn't Cortana stuck in High Charity, in orbit above Halo? And the UNSC ship that crashed into High Charity, was it Miranda's ship overrun by the Flood? And if it wasn't, just how did another UNSC ship reach Delta Halo if Keyes' ship only got there by literally grabbing onto Regret's ship's coattails? And finally, why would detonating the UNSC ship's reactor inside High Charity destroy Delta Halo considering that HC was supposed to be orbiting the Halo. HC would certainly have been destroyed, yes, but not Halo...unless HC landed on Halo. This wasn't made very clear (sometimes the sound of carnage and battle drowned out Cortana's soft dialogue lines and it was hard to keep up with the story). HC landing on Halo would make things many clear, like how it was overrun with the Flood, why would its destruction also destroy Delta Halo and, finally, how Gravemind managed to be inside it at the end (of course, Gravemind might be like the Borg Queen, manifesting itself out of the available Flood 'material' in an infested environment like HC).

You can't just beat the last level on legendary. I've tried that. You have to beat the whole game.

How do you know it says Febuary 9? Have you beat it on legendary?

I also got stuck in the second boarding party on Cairo station. I mean, there's just too many, and their rate of fire is insane! My backups are dead after seconds because they're too stupid to take cover! Legendary on Halo 1 was excrutiatingly hard, but here...it's crazy, just crazy.

I played that one part for about 4 hrs straight last night and I can only think of starting the level again and protecting my men completely to get anywhere near the ammo needed. A few more grenades would help, I think I got down to 2 Convenant soldiers and run out of ammo. They could have given you a fighting chance with this. :(

I tried playing the Great Journey on Legendary last night. I got past the part when you drive in the Wraith, but then when I enter the building to commandeer the Scarab it gets tough. I kill all the brutes in there but then a sniper comes out and kills me.

Don't try. I did even if you beat it it dosen't give you the ending. You have to beat the whole game.

It is fun to try and beat the last level on legendary. It is challenging. I also heard if you beat the last level on legendary then you see February 9th

Well then a tip. Keep your banshee.

Fly it into the control center and fight them with it.

Hubby and I have been playing it on heroic which is a challenge enough. My favorite addition so far is the ability to take over a ghost or a wraith. I jumped on a wraith and started beating the crap out of the covenant driver. It was very awesome.

Everyone, don't bother trying to unlock that secret multiplayer level, "Foundation" (last on the list after "Waterworks"). It's so small and a terrible design. Not even worth it. When my friend and I unlocked it last night, we were totally disappointed.

To access the secret multiplayer level, "Foundation":

You will need two players for this to work.

First, make sure one player's profile has reached the last level, "Great Journey" in the campaign.

Second, have the second player create a totally fresh profile so it has not played any of the levels at all.

Third, co-op through the level "Great Journey" with the veteran and fresh player profiles. Any difficulty setting works.

Fourth, when you come to the part where you're in Banshees escorting Johnson on the Scarab, the FRESH PROFILE PLAYER must execute: 1) A barrel-roll left 2) A barrel-roll right and 3) A loop-de-loop (Do these multiple times in order to safely make sure it's done.

Fifth, finish the level, let it go through the credits and end cutscene.

Last, the FRESH PROFILE should now have access to the unlocked multiplayer level, "Foundation".

Who the heck thought that up!?

Bungie has waaay to much time on their hands! Who knows what OTHER levels could be unlocked!

The complexity of unlocking "Foundation" is a result of a glitch that was never addressed before release. They didn't purposely make it that difficult.

It's not difficult-- just absurdly complicated. :p

The explanation to unlock Foundation does work, I can vouch for it. After beating the campaign solo on both Easy & Normal, I got nothing for my main profile. However, after doing it the co-op explained way, it worked. My biggest difference, though--It unlocked for BOTH profiles. That works for me, since I want to keep a profile for a Spartan & Elite.

I disagree that the stage is a "waste", though. While some maps are way too big for a group of only 8 players (Yes, some of us will continue our Halo ways and just play offline with LAN connections), Foundation is perfect for an insane slayer or Oddball game for 7-10 players. Let the madness begin!

Have any of you been reading the weekly updates from Bunie.net?

Well this week they released one even after the game's release, except these updates answer questions.
    Weekly Update
From reading the update the new downloadable maps are already being tested and will be released soon. :D

Any of you playing over Xbox Live? The best console game I've played online, if so message me on XBL.

Does anyone besides me think that Truth has been infested? If you play the last Master Chief level, the prophet is constantly psyching you out over comm system(very ominous) then for a long while and many flood attacks later, you hear the gravemind over the same channel saying, "We are now one corpse".

    Any thoughts on this?

The average waiting time for popular console to PC ports is 6-9 months, however, PC Gamer UK estimate that if there is a port, we can expect it by November 2005 at the earliest.

Alas, if Microsoft had Bungie use XNA and make the game for the X-Box 2 instead, it would be an uber-easy task to port it.
