Good news! The wedding I'm doing sound for is in the morning, so I should be on time/somewhat late, but not as late as Kari.
I know for sure tomorrow night, though.

Thanks again for the welcome everybody. I went to a few meetins in L.A. years ago and one in ventura (Because the fire dept i work for is in L.A.). I didn't mean to imply that they were all jerks, most were very nice people, but when I had asked about a nighttime gathering they were having at one meeting, the feeling was that if I attended meetings on a regular basis with them, then I would be invited, so I just lost interest. I even put a hold on my Tie Fighter Pilot costume I was building at the time. But enough of the past. Hope to see you all on Sat.

 

I have a friend that did a TIE pilot costume. Let me know if you any help or resources and I'll hook you up with him. Most people are very willing to help out.

 

Thanks. I would like some info on the person who has a Tie Costume. Joining this Fan Force has got me renewed my interest to get my lazy behind back into costuming. Maybe a name or some info would help.

 

I'm going to try to talk him into coming to the meeting. I'll let you know.

 

I hope your friend can make it. I won't bug him to much, I just have a few questions about his costume. I have seen a few of the IEFF t-shirts on the pictures you have posted. Do you sell them at meetings, or do you earn them thru volunter work? Sorry for all the questions. Just goes to show how eager (or desperate) I am for some interaction with some fellow star wars fans. Everyone else I know thinks I should grow up, but why start now.

 

We used to do runs for shirts once in a while. At the moment you'll see the thread for a new IEFF logo in the works, which will mean new shirts

Thanks so much for the invite to today's meeting. Unfortunately I have a birthday luncheon to attend but keep me posted on all future meetings and look forward to seeing everybody on May 29th at the library. There's already a lot of people getting excited about it-Allen

 

I love the name, Allen! You and Adam are always welcome to our meetings! We're about SW fandom and friends.

The agenda is printed and I'll be leaving in about 30 minutes so I'll actually be there in time with the food. Keep your fingers crossed!

 

I'm sorry to be such a late lucy. We will not be there at the meeting.

I have some family things that have no choice but to be handled this weekend.

Thanks for welcoming me to the Fan Force Meeting. It was great putting faces to the screen names. Just a few notes.

1. I did go out tonight and buy the 3 volume new Star Wars Encyclopedia *Awesome* (Yes, I was green with envy.)

2. Guess I will keep on looking for Tie Fighter Pilot Costume Parts i.e. Chestbox. (Just Kidding, Inside Joke.)

3. If I can help anyone with their computer problems, I would be glad to, and I am pretty handy when it comes to making stuff from scratch, such as plastics, composites, electronics and metal work. I am not saying I am great, I just am lucky to have a lot of resources at work and here in the desert. If I can ever help, just ask.

Hi, Ben- So glad that you could make it. We enjoyed meeting you and we're glad we didn't scare you off from coming around again. I'm sorry you need to keep looking for that tie-pilot part. lol
You know, I'm looking for someone that can help me that has web-design experience that is really, cheap, as I am really broke. I have a site I made with a template, but the pics are not clear on Internet explorer. I'm told they're clear on Mozilla, but for some reason I can't access it on my computer thru Mozilla. If you know anyone you could recommend, I would be most grateful!!!

So wonderful to see everybody again. The cookies were great and we a very glad that you got home safe. We loved meeting you Ben, and hope to see you again. It has been so long since seeing you, Mike and Shelia. We had a great time. Thank you Debbie for opening your home again for us. I am sorry we missed you Minda and Chris. I will have the minutes up real soon. Right now, my leg has been giving me fits, so sitting at the computer is a little hard to do. Yes I will go see the doctor this week. JangosMom - Web design is really my weak piont with computers. I have made a few web sites, but I've had problems writing scripts for doing online purchase forms and links to Visa/Credit Cards. If its only a problem with the viewing format, I would gladly take a look at what you got. Just a couple of questions.
1. Is the website up and running and if it is, what is the name/URL so I can see it?
2. What template program do you use?
3. Is the picture viewing the only problem?
4. If you can, give me a quick idea as to what you want it to look like.

As for being cheap, I am as cheap as they come. I really have a hard time charging anybody money for help with their computers (especially friends, which I consider all of you now). Luckily I have Jury Duty so hopefully I dont have to drive to L.A. (woohoo) this week and will probably have some extra time. I work cheap, like maybe a plate of cookies or help with a SW costume or something. Let me know about the questions above and if you want me to take a look at what you are having problems with. I would've PM you, but the forum says I haven't had enough posts.
