Absolutely incredible that he's done this well so far... but Purdue to win it all? Without Hummel? That pick scares me. And not just because Duke plays Purdue next :p

My parents would be unbearable if Purdue wins it all.

This one hurts. WVU's starting guard Daryl 'Truck' Bryant broke his foot and is out for the rest of the season. There's only one other guard on the roster.... [face_worried]

Yep, that's too bad for the Mountaineers. Hate to see this happen during the tournament.

I'm not worried about Jee Mazulla starting. Its just he's the only guard on the roster. We've played with no guards in the lineup but its not quite the same.

The only silver lining might be that Joe is finally coming back from his horrific shoulder injury a couple years back where he broke the growth plate in his left shoulder. The offense has sparked with him setting it up. I just hope he stays out of foul trouble.

I am surprised to check scores and see Butler up 10 at the half. This ought to be interesting.

I don't think so. I can't think of any mid majors besides Xavier who have been to the Elite 8 since George Mason.

No idea. Syracuse has stormed back to take the lead. :(

Butler has never been to the Elite 8. The mid-majors who have gone in recent years are:

    2008 Davidson, Xavier
    2006 George Mason (Final Four)
    2004 Xavier
    2002 Kent State
    2001 Temple
    1999 Gonzaga

7:30 to go, Butler still up 2. Heading for a heck of a finish, I'm guessing.

C'mon Butler! I refuse to call Washington a Cinderella, even though they are an 11-seed. Coming out of a major conference, they're more like the fat step-sister of Cinderella, making a push to get a dance with the queen, but no one except those who really are close to her want to see her get anything out of it.

They seriously need to change my TV feed to the Butler game!

Now up FOUR! less than two to play!

Make it SIX with half a minute, and Gus Johnson on my TV about to explode!

Butler wins! Another #1 is gone!

Not sure if that was a good defensive play by Butler to seal it, or a horrible job by 'Cuse protecting the ball

Xavier would like to tell everybody they are not a mid-major, btw :p

And Syracuse goes down! Go Butler! [face_dancing] [face_dancing]

They didn't switch the feed here either. I understand that WVU is a lot closer than the 'Cuse or Butler, but you couldn't switch it for the last 30 seconds of a tight game?

Time to get back to the new episode of The Office.

    Bulter
    Xavier
    Gonzaga

Not mid-majors they are serious basketball teams, have better basketball histroy than many schools from the "Big ^" conferences. Along with the Mountain West and Atlantic 10 conferences. It's not like football.

When they stop being a coaching grooming ground for bigger schools, they will stop being a Mid-Major.

And, how about this, for Syracuse. Last year starts (more or less) with a loss to a Horizon league team (Cleveland State), and this year it ends with a loss to a Horizon league team (Butler). Tell me, again, how awesome is the Big East?

And time to cheer for a Xavier-Butler regional final!
