VCU has opened up hot in the second half to retake the lead.
Come on, Butler!
Looks like its gonna be another tight one! Could see yet another great finish!
Butler up 6, 47 seconds to go, with free throws coming...
Make that a 8 point lead. Looking good for Butler now.
Well dang it, this looks done.
Butler wins by 8 - practically a blowout by their tournament standards!
But Butler is back to the championship game!
Butler ... wow. Just, wow.
You think Brad Stevens can make an actual Dynasty out of this? I don't see why not.
With Indiana down, one of the side effects is allowing trickle-down recruits to go to schools like Butler. I think it's part of why Matta has been able to do so well at Ohio State.
Not disappointed too badly... I like watching VCU play, and having a CAA team in the Final Four again was awesome. My full support is behind Butler to frickin' make up for that rip-off final last year, for sure. Go Butler!
I wanted VCU to win. But Butler is my team now
VCU earned its way here, and made for a good game today.
I hope Stevens knows that what he has at Butler is as good as anywhere else. The only thing that could lure him away is the bucks, but he seems to have a better head on his shoulders than to sucked in like that... I hope.
Calipari doesn't look too happy right now
UConn by ten at the break.
Ugly half for both teams.
Hopefully the result holds up.
Calhoun, after commenting that his team needs to rebound better and then being asked how they can do that: "Get the ball off the backboard."
And that makes about half a million people here happy.
This second half is NOT off to a good start.
C'mon Kemba ...
We gearing up for an epic finish.
Kentucky's starting to really look tired. UConn up 6, under 2 minutes to go. Just gotta close it out...
Less than a minute left, UK ball, down by three.
Prediction: Mirror of the Ohio State Game:
Knight hits a tying three, but Kemba hits a dagger at the buzzer to win it for the Huskies.
I'm ok with that.
EdIT: and down 2, Kentucky will have the ball with 16 seconds to go. Here comes another one down to the wire!
Bonehead foul by Kentucky, and then a bad turnover by UConn.
UK with the ball, down by two, 15 and some change left ...
Yeah, bonehead would be a good adjective for that foul. Might get away with it though, given the following turnover.
EDIT: UK misses a 3, UConn fouled with under 2 seconds to go! 2 free throws coming!
Liggens missed! UConn with a chance to ice it at the line ...
Edit: He hits both! 4 point lead, two seconds to go.
sinks 2 free throws, and that should do it!
Now, lose to Butler!
