Florida Gulf Coast is going to win again!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but--assuming FGCU holds on--won't this be the first time a 15-seed has ever reached the Sweet 16?
Florida Gulf Coast wins; will play Florida next!
No more Marshall Henderson!
La Salle, baby!
This is what it sounds like when doves cry. Seriously, we weren't that good.
I think that was right after a nasty dunk.
Haha. Or just sometime while we were sleeping at the start of the second half.
From the other side of Tobacco Road, meanwhile.
Wow, what a way to finish an otherwise lackluster half for the Blue Devils!
But seriously, though, their defense is stymieing us, and I feel like we need to clamp down better on their inside game. Creighton has thankfully been very cold from beyond the arc so far, but we can't depend on them staying that way.
Okay maybe I was wrong ... Maybe Florida Gulf Coast is the worst seeding job ever by the committee.
Watching Illinois try to take down Miami.
If Creighton can come back the day is saved.
Aaron Craft and FGCU already saved the day. Creighton and Illinois would be icing on the cake
Not for me, they didn't. Not until I see that Plumlee oaf doing his best Adam Morrison impression.
Is that Justin Beiber sitting next to the redhead crying?
Looks like Tom Coughlin sitting in front of him too. I wish it was, because ol red face would have given him a reason to cry.
Aaron Craft did the opposite of save the day.
I'm thinking they should have been the 2 or 3 seed.
Given the way this turney's gone, they would have gone down in the first round, instead of moving on to the sweet 16.
I'm having withdrawal ....
Haha, same here. Every year its the same feeling.
Now I'm stuck watching a Royals game.
You can always watch hot NIT or CBI action (I discovered last night that the CBI is actually televised... on a channel I get in HD, which is not a whole lot).
I love this, because it makes complete sense* (having Barkley covering the NCAA tournament would be akin to me having posted this here thread).
*also I like when members of the media take (verbal) shots at their colleagues... it should happen more often.
That article did a disservice to readers by failing to mention the Len Elmore/Reggie Miller argument that went on for FIVE MINUTES during the Creighton/Cinci game. Someone in the comments mentioned it.
Reggie was absolutely convinced that Doug McDermont's elbow-to-the-head was not a Flagrant 1 and that if it were called a Flagrant 1 that it would be a travesty for basketball, completely eliminating an offensive player's ability to break a press. Len Elmore calmly explained to Reggie that he was, quite simply, wrong... but eventually Len had to devolve to saying, "BUT THAT'S THE RULE! ELBOWING SOMEONE TO THE HEAD ISN'T THE ONLY WAY TO BREAK THE PRESS!"
