March Meeting - Get Together

Looks like we've got 15 IEFF peeps making it to the meeting this Sunday!

It was so great seeing all of you fine folks of the IEFF on Sunday! Thanks for stopping by Ron and being a part of the group get together! Okay, Sandy should be posting the minutes soon but until then, here's some pics from the meeting with the link to the rest, there's 22 total. As a side note, being that we covered ALOT of info Sunday, make sure to check the boards for all the new threads coming, as things are about to get busy real quick and I don't want any of you to miss out. This is something you all can be quite proud of! Thanks Allen for the opportunity to be a part of this great event! This is a huge honor for the IEFF. Make sure the next time your at the library to come check this out in person, very cool. This was from today as I stopped by to see it in person. We'll have to somehow do a group shot on SW Day for sure!

So here are the meeting minutes, finally.

Allen talked about the library event in May. He told us about how the event is going, great. And that Denise Vasquez and Randy Martinez won't be able to be at the library that day because of overbooking themseleves. The library will be doing paper lightsabers for the small and big kids activity and Admiral Ackbar sacks (Allen passed around prototypes of all, really cool). The dunk tank will be back, and the R2 builders Society will be there along with a working R2 unit and will do some demos about making a R2 unit. SW Day is May 28.
Also, are IEFF brick is there now, located in the first row near Starbucks along with the 501st. Thank you Allen for your report.

We need to let Mike know on the thread about the Anahiem Comic Con coming up April 29 through May 1 on how many of us are planning to go. He needed a count by the first week of April to let them know at the convention how many are coming. Sorry for reporting this so late, but please check the thread for any more information.

Free Comic Book day is coming May 7. Allen will bring fliers for the event at the library. Also, we are needing raffle prizes for both events. If you have any ideas or can help support in funds, please refer to the threads that will be coming soon.

Star Wars Fan Day at Disneyland is June 26. Go to next page.

Next page-- it seems my last page did not make it on the post, so I am doing that one over again.

June will be elections for the group, so be thinking about who you would like for the position of President, vice pres., secretary, and tresurer. Mike will not seek relection. Sandy is fine with secretary again.

Not sure if I already did this, June 26 is Star Wars Fan Day at Disneyland. Check back about the thread about this event.

Star Tours opening day at Disneyland is June 3. Thread coming about this one, too.

Redlands 4th of July event coming soon. Last year was a great time. Ideas needed. Wondering if everyone that goes would like to barbque together when we get there? There will be a thread coming up soon for this event.

Beach Trip? Mike will post about this soon. Need ideas. July ???

IEFF t-shirts-- The logo will be bigger then the last one. One color, mens t-shirt, womens v neck. Color? Price each $12. Thread will be coming soon.

Midnight showing of THOR coming May 6. Any interest?

CHOC WALK is coming in October. Thread will be coming soon. I heard that the one we did last year was big.
