Oh, and also, Artoo sends messages to Everett through the movies.

"Beep bo beep boo bo ooo" = "Hunt them down. All of them."

 

Very funny everyone, very funny. R2 doesn't speak to me through the movies. He makes sounds that kinda sound like words, sometimes.
I think John Wayne made some very good movies and shouldn't be made fun of.
We all had a good laugh at the meeting, even thought I think it was mostly laughing at me and what I said. I don't mind though. I had a good time none the less.

 

Don't worry, Everett, you're not alone. When I first saw the films and continued watching them I also got the same impression from R2 (my own thoughts as to what he was saying) Plus I think it's kind of clear because of what 3PO says to him.

Take this one scene for example:
3PO- I don't like you either.
R2 responds to him.

The impression I got from that was R2 saying something like: 'you don't?' or an 'aw' sigh.

He is just more human than people give him credit.

 

With all the fun at pick, I must admit that at times they do a good job at letting you know exactly what R2 beeps through his tones and other characters reactions.

 

Eh, yeah, I think it's pretty easy to understand what Artoo is saying. It's just funny to pick on Everett. (Story of my life, getting picked on for silly stuff.)

 

As long as he doesn't start telling you what to do as well.
