I had an epiphany on the drive home from the workshop today. Regarding my attempt to use the existing armor as a base form: I want to try it again but next time, not use the foam in the center. We should use a double layer of Worbla (glue side to glue side) , heated up then applied over the existing shape. It will take the shape of the form more easily. Maybe just use a strip of foam for the center section! Michelle and I ended up using this technique for the female chest part. The Worbla is more flexible and shape conforming when it does not have the foam in the middle.
