FF:QLD "Marge, send the kids to the neighbours, I'm coming home loaded!"

My plane lands in BrisVegas around 7AM Thursday, April 12th and I'm here until the following Sunday morning (15th).

As the little birds tell me, the 13th is Good Friday (oh, the irony) so it might be possible for y'all to come out for a >INSERT DRINK OF YOUR CHOICE< on the Thursday night - before SupaNova. It would be good to meet all the fresh faces that have continued the tradition of QldFF, not to mention the old faces that can't escape.

What say you?

Well the Saturday (of SupaNova) has a night time event at Movieworld, so either Thursday or Friday sounds fine.
Which brew are you missing the most?

I'm on holidays by then, so I'll be there. Will the famous Mrs. NeecH be there?

 

Well Supanova is ont he Friday night as well, so that's kinda out. But Thursday shoudl be alright. It will be good to finally meet you!

 

Ok, Thursday it is. And, unfortunately Mrs. NeecH will not be coming as she's still working and can't get time off. I've planned another trip back around August when she can come with me and meet everyone.

Like I said, my wife can't make it this time and I'm still in the middle of some work and can't take too much time away from that. Next time I'll be here a little longer (around August).

The plan is still to go out for dinner and drinks on the Thursday night (April 12th). I understand that a few (if not most) of you will be working or hitting SupaNova early the next day so I'm not expecting a big night from everyone. I'll probabaly be pretty knackered from my flight still anyway.

The Friday (April 13th), I'll probably be at SupdaNova at some point during the day with Otter so I can hook up with you guys there. The same day I'm also trying to fit in some general comic, DVD, toy, clothes and present shopping and everyone is welcome to join Otter and I for that.

And if it's all the same to you CJ, I want to avoid Japanese food on my visit. Ribs sounds great or a simple meat pie, even better!

 

Just a note: The Friday of Supanova is an evening event (6pm-10pm), and is only open to those who have bought a weekend pass. Saturday and Sunday are the daytime events. Sorry Neech!!

 

Thanks, LC. I thought SupaNova was a full day thing on Friday as well - oh well, more time for comic shopping. I might be able to go on the Saturday.

 

No problems!! I wish it was a full day thing, but I suppose people have to work on Fridays

Ok, so I'm in Brisbane next week - things need a plannin'!

Being that the only centralized place worth going to I can remember is O'Malleys (or maybe Gilhooleys) I was thinking we could all meet up there on Thursday 12th, around 7-8PM.

Please let me know if there's anywhere else you can think of that might be a good spot for a get together.

 

Gilhooley's seems to have taken up popularity with the usuals.

I might be able to make it (4am work starts be damned!), but it would only be for an hour or so.

 

they're all popular with us now that they're all smoke free!! gillhooleys, o'malleys or irish murphys would be best. But I'm pretty sure the small furry acquatic one is hangin' for some chicken kinmare.
