Mario Party 4

Since the game is gonna be released in about four or five days, it is about time to start a discussion. Is anybody looking forward to it? I had MP1 and Mp2 on the N64 and loved them because I could play with almost anybody, even people that usually paly videogames, ie. my sister, girlfriend. Anybody else look forward to a fourth round of Mario Party. 50 entirely new mini-games!!!!!!!!!

 

IGN gave it a pretty low score, I heard.

 

I've only played the first one a little bit, but I thought it was pretty fun. I probably won't buy any of the MP games though unless they impliment playing online.

 

What did IGN give it, does anybody know?

 

Presentation
Very lighthearted, birthday party inspired presentation. Good selection of playable characters, but there's room for more. Could use more extras, too; stats, name labeling, trophy collection, etc. 6.0
Graphics
Sharp, vivid, and well animated, but unbalanced with some blurry textures at times. 7.0
Sound
Very basic, but the lighthearted tunes are fitting. This just isn't the kind of title to sport stunning surround sound or hours of voice overs. 6.0
Gameplay
An incredible amount of multiplayer fun awaits you and your three friends. Don't dare to play it alone, though. There's no "party" when you're alone. 7.0
Lasting Appeal
Addictive four-player party action that you can pick up anytime. Great for kids, families, or adults who might like to turn it into a drinking game. 8.0
OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 6.9

Well, GameSpot just reviewed it today. Gave it 7.2. Which rates as good on their scale. They it is the most polished of the series and the most of the minigames are fresh and will test many of your gameplaying skills and techniques.

 

I might get it. I liked the first one, but not the other two that followed.

 

Just picked it up, I'll be back with impressions later.

 

Not sure. Loved one. Hated 2 and 3
