I'm not sure they could have Luke die any cooler than Obi-Wan did. The disappearing act is something I could see Luke doing, but it might be cheesy to just do it again. Obi-Wan went out with STYLE!

I do NOT want to see Luke cut up like Anakin....he doesn't deserve that. :(

Nah, although Anakin...well I won't say he deserved it, but damn sure asked for it!

I think Mark Hammil will do great as Luke and Im sure as anything Ford and Fisher will be great too they might be rusty but I think they still could do it David Prowse was even talking about maybe doing something with it like maybe be one of the Moffs that's still there.

The latest pic of him rocking lightsabers with Mickey Mouse that was released is very encouraging... looks like he's in good shape and the beard is awesome.

I think Mark will be will be fantastic portraying this age of the Luke Skywalker characters journey. I really do hope Luke is given a massive part to play in this trilogy and isn't portrayed as a peripheral figure to the goings on. And going by the new plot rumours? That is extremely far from being the case.

I think Mark will actually emerge from this Trilogy being massive even in the eyes of the casual audience, let alone the die hards.

Oh yes and after the credits roll, he will rise above all of us and deliver a message of peace and love, ending every conflict on planet earth, singlehandedly achieving world peace.

I was thinking that it's funny how far afield the EU's depiction of old Luke varied from Hamill's real life aged appearance. Obviously this is due to the fact that they only paid for Hamill's appearance as it was in the OT (until now; obviously because of the ST they'll be able to use his actual aged appearance now). But really. Compare any picture of Hamill in this thread to an image of EU's Luke Skywalker at the same age. Quite the difference, I'd say. :p

Well, what did you expect? His Legends' companion Mara Jade always looked like a 20 year old bimbo in all those illustrations....

    a) Hurtful... :p
    b) Technically a "bimbo" is a blond. Mara's redheaded. ;)

I've always seen "bimbo" defined as a derogatory term for a blond woman.
