    Will Luke be like Qui-gonn/Yoda in PT or Yoda in the OT?

    If the awakening referenced in TFA means Rey being able to overnight become proficient in all force powers, then it stands to reason that Rey is the hero of the ST. And it also stands to reason that Luke has a peripheral role to plan in helping and guiding the hero through the journey.

    Now that doesn't mean that Luke has to die (like Qui-gon or Yoda in ROTJ), but it could be. I mean it's a distinct possibility. Especially with the title on EPVIII being "The Last Jedi" aka Luke Skywalker.

    It may also imply that Kylo was NEVER a Jedi and he WILL NEVER be a Jedi, but this speculation is for the Kylo thread.

    Luke could also (in a twisted world), perform a similar role to Obi-wan in the PT. Training the new chosen-one and ultimately defeating the (former jedi student that turned tot he dark side) Ben in the end. The scenario could be that Rey actually defeats Snoke while Luke deals with Kylo.

    But I will call it. Luke will die either in EPVIII or early in EPIX.

    looks like Anime Luke!!!!

    LOL at that Hamill laugh sounded almost like a bad guy.:p

    but it's interesting to note Hamill never says what Rey thinks of him just what he thinks of her and her extending the saber. So both things are about him ambiguous reaction towards Rey....

    Hamill's such a delightful person.

    And as someone who never enjoyed having a boss, I have to say that Kathleen seems like a great person to work for. You can tell she's someone who cares about quality AND people.

    What do you guys think about Luke V/S Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi? There's a leak that they are gonna have a lightsaber battle! I think that would be awesome!
