My puke wants to puke.
Use the Flex, Luke!
I read somewhere (maybe in this thread) that Mark is doing a Star Tours weekend on May 5th. After that he will be heading to London. As his lack of tweeting --- I would think he is focusing with a trainer in a gym. (my two cents)
Oh okay Thanks for the heads up
Here's the info about Mark, at Star Wars Weekend, it's in June.
Well it still makes sense for them to work around his schedule -- instead of flying him back and forth --- but then again it's on the Disney/Lucasfilm dime -- so they can do whatever they want.
well, the Tatooine scenes in the UAE are said to take 4 weeks with filming starting in early May correct? SW weekends is June 6-8. Mark could fly straight from the UAE to SW weekends then on to London (or whatever location is next) without interrupting filming. Not exactly flying back and forth.
Thank goodness we've figured out his itinerary.
Let's stalk Mark like we've never stalked before!
thank goodness we're talking about something different than puke
that's a different thread
I honestly voted he'll do ok. It's not going to be the same Skywalker that we once knew so there's going to be a bit of maturity required on the part of the audience. Factor in that Luke himself has seldom stepped into the role since Return Of the Jedi, especially in an on-screen capacity, he's going to bring something new to the role. So, I say "he'll do ok" on the basis that as an actor he'll give it the dedication it deserves and will be very watchable. As for "He's going to be great", frankly I don't know the difference but I get the impression that this category might be backed with the hopes of a long-awaited nostalgia injection that the fans which they may or may not quite receive. I'm being cautiously optimistic.
I still stand by the idea that Mark will be great as Luke - Not only is he an underrated actor (I swear, if I scan scrape enough money to get to SWW, I'm wearing a Sushi Girl shirt) but he created the onscreen persona. The words and story may be Lucas/Kasdan/whomever, but the look, the mannerisms and everything that makes Luke, 'Luke' is all Mark...
Couldn't agree more. All one has to do is look at the audition tapes. Compare all the other actors to Mark. Mark IS Luke, not an actor playing a role/reading dialogue.
man this is driving be crazy. i want to see a trailer of something. When will that come out this Christmas? Would it be that early?
I have a cousin that heard a trailer will be attached to the new Transformers' movie --- but it's purely rumor --- he had no back up proof.
BTW --- what does UAE mean?
united arab emirites
San Diego Comic Con of this year. That's my prediction when the first teaser will drop.
Might be so. I doubt it, but if it happens, I sure hope it's not a comic con exclusive!
middle of the night, one tuesday, during an infomercial
I think the first teaser (if we are taking about teaser trailer) will be released in December. They have started filming now, and if the cast will start filming next month, then it only gives them about four months of footage. Although my question is, will four months of footage be enough for a teaser trailer?
with absolutely no knowledge of the filmmaking process, i'm going to say yes
That sounds good
depends what it is, of course. Bad Robot's other movies have had teaser trailers released early in pre-production before anyone knew what the projects were. I believe typically trailers with principal footage dont get made till principal photography is done
I would not be surprised if we see a character like a Jedi with his back to the screen and just a voice over as teaser trailer.
and buttless chaps?
