Nah. you not understanding my point is lame. Yes that is the movie structure and an adventure movie without a final bossfight (like A New Hope) would be pretty bad(probably). But you seem to forget that this will be the seventh installment of a series. You can only get away with pulling out even stronger bad guys for so long till willing suspension of disbelief breaks in two. Even more so since THIS particular mistery villain will most likely not confronted by Luke, but by Finn and Rey. I believe the correct term would be: Insane Troll Logic for the line of thought that concludes that the farther removed you are from the chosen one, the stronger entities you have to beat.

    Recent Hamill Pic

But it was the surprise appearance of beloved Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, reading the roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Emperor, that brought the audience to its feet for a spontaneous standing ovation.
“I hope I pass the audition,” Hamill joked as the applause continued.
As the night began, Hamill, an accomplished voice actor for animated movies and TV series, did an amazing impression ofAlec Guinness as Obi-Wan. His first words drew a thundering round of applause from the audience.

A race of lizards immune to the Force? Is it time to pull this out of mothballs again? Don't worry, the very first post makes all my points perfectly.

come on, trying to bring this thread back on topic,
    more from the Live reading,
    [IMG]
But when Reitman announced that Star Wars icon Mark Hamill would read the roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine, everyone inside the Ace Hotel’s 1,600-seat theater leapt to their feet for a deafening standing ovation that lasted several minutes.
In addition to that sensational bit of stunt casting — the room roared when Hamill, as Palpatine, said, “We have a new enemy: Luke Skywalker”

    I'm confused:
So Luke Skywalker is Palpatine and declares that Luke Skywalker (himself) is an emerging enemy.
and Luke Skywalker also happens to be Ben Kenobi, so he taught himself in the ways of the force.
    :p

I would pay good money to see that - seriously. Not only could he do it, I can imagine the level of creepy he'd bring to it being ratcheted up to 10. [face_worried]

I wanna see this so bad. Mark definitely looking a lot healthier than he's been in years. Looks like he's keeping the Luke Skywalker hair. Wish he would have kept the beard. Despite him not liking the beard it suits him. He looked like a boss with it before he went full hippie though.
