I watched the premiere episode of Sleepy Hollow last week - it has potential - kinda mashing the mythology of Sleepy Hollow with a little Rip Van Winkle and adding to it all sorts of supernatural stuff as the headless horseman is none other than one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
they crammed a lot into that second ep of Sleepy Hollow to fit the formula that they know works: - advance the backstory of one or more of the main characters (in this case, both Abby and Crane) - advance the mythology/mystery of the show - have a self-contained plot (evil witch that must be stopped) - avoid any hint of romance between the two main characters - have John Cho in a guest role
