It's not just the fact that she slept with Norman, it's the fact that in addition to that, Gwen got knocked up and gave birth. All in a time period of a few weeks. This is why people have had enough of JMS. We'd rather have someone else who respects continuity. Hell, Mark Millar at least dove into the past without flinching. Or give us Dan Slott who can do a good Spidey.

Well the civil war arc was pretty cool.

The Civil War Arc was really more of JMS expanding on what was happening in the Series, as though this were Spider-man's commentary. Some of the Spider-man issues were the best of the entire War, but I still feel as though he was borrowing something good and making it better.

According to Quesada, there was a goof with May's last name. JMS called Axel Alonso to find out what her maiden name was and due to an error on Alonso's part, he said Fitzgerald and not Reilly. This is changed with future printings and the TPB. But the webbing with the black suit is not an error. It is as we've speculated. Peter did not alter the webbing so that it would disolve in an hour or two.
