Comics Star Wars #21-25: The Last Flight of the Harbinger

Do you guys think those troopers have something to do with Kolar "The Depopulator" Ludd and the Imperial Special Forces?

 

So excited for this, who knows maybe if this squad becomes popular, they could get their own mini.....or dare I suggest ongoing

Ah, Rob Liefeld. I swear, when I was in art school figure drawing classes, making fun of him and his "style" was our national sport...

 

If they do capture the ISD, the Rebels better rename it one of the following acceptable names:

Emancipator
Liberator
Rebel Dream

These must become canon again at one point!

I think there's a line in Lost Stars where Thane Kyrell is talking to a general (probably Rieekan) and mentions that they've never captured a Star Destroyer before. (I'm assuming he means "captured by force instead of being surrendered by Imperials".)

So this means that either our heroes will fail, or for some reason Rieekan and Thane don't know about this case. (Or maybe Rieekan knew and didn't bother to correct Thane because something something classified military secrets.)

 

Hearing that the rebels are going to try to capture an ISD reminds me of the old stargate days where the main characters obtained enemy vessels from time to ti.e but lost them in the end due to unforseen obstacles. So this might be the case with our heroes. They'll probably lose it in the end.

 

I loved the concept on capturing a star destroyer in Lost Stars, such as the cool little detail that it could take weeks to clear the ship completely of enemies. Imagine that, it could be done similarly to old WWII battle reports.

Day 1: Fight in the hanger bay
Day 3: Hanger Bay fight concluded moving on to engine room
Day 5: Engine Room still not captured
Day 10: Engine room finally captured moving on to bridge
Day 19: After days of fierce fighting the bridge is finally captured. The enemy force on the bridge consisted of only a dozen stormtroopers.

They could add a campaign mode to Battlefront, starring this squad, for FREE!

 

You realise we're talking of EA here, right, Sean?

 

You're talking about the same studio that thought a game that included Tatooine, Hoth and Endor as the majority of the playable levels, was anywhere near a good or creative idea.

It was a brief cameo. the Empire discovers Sunspot Prison and Kreel basically tells them that they have a new mission.

 

Looks like it, but the interview where the images come from doesn't talk about it.

 

They all have such tiny heads! Stormtrooper helmets are supposed to be big ol' buckets, so the heads underneath those must be super-small. Then again, based on that gigantic E-11 that one guy's toting that makes the gigantic POTF2 E-11s in the Lando miniseries look like tiny little POTJ E-11s, maybe these guys are all Jawas or something. But still with really small heads.

Jedi Ben said "So long as they don't start equipping Liefeld-style armour, it'll be fine." ...based on these pages, they're equipping Liefeld-style armor & weapons. Better drawn, to be sure, but just as ridiculous in proportions. Why BlasTech would produce a rifle that looks exactly like an E-11 scaled up 100% is beyond me! Even in Leia's hands, such a rifle didn't look that big.

 

Those panels kind of remind me of that arc trooper chapter in the original Clone Wars animated show
