    ====ORIGINAL OPENING POST FOLLOWS====

Did look over past threads but those were more about licence transfer than a general news thread for Marvel's titles and it'd probably be worth having.

Why? Well courtesy of everyone's er, ahem, "favourite", rumour site a couple of interesting images turned up for the June comics:

Hmm, perhaps Fett vs Skywalker a few years before the Pit of Carkoon?

A real grab-bag, we look to have a truly satanic Sidious for Darth Vader #5 or #6, a Kanan cover for #3? Plus a pretty damn good cover for the #5 and concluding issue of Leia's title.

Fett vs Skywalker seems like a safe bet, maybe Fett actually "wins" the first encounter. Given that Vader was willing to hire him again in ESB.

Then he gets his comeuppance in ROTJ i guess. :p

Kanan should really consider putting the cover to his cockpit up when he goes into space.:p

(no seriously what type of starfighter is he in there? It's got the interior design of the Etas but no glass pane bars like the Deltas. Artistic cover licence I guess?)

I love Jordan White. The patience he shows is infinite, and the way he treats all fan questions no matter how strange or ridiculous is commendable.

Interesting to see that it apparently takes Kanan three issues to get his ass off Coruscant.

He probably spends 3 issues basically hiding in the lower levels and crying. Hell, I know that's what I woulda done. Good strategy.

Maybe he finds Mace's hand and spends the first 3 issues trying to return it to the owner?

As someone in the middle of writing a post-Order 66 story, I can attest that getting their asses off Coruscant takes longer than you would think. :D

I figure that the Order 66 thing would end the first issue, the fallout would be issue 2 and then getting off Coruscant would be issue 3. Not that big of an issue imo. If that happened to me I would have freaked out so bad.

You know, I'm pretty sure that Mace's death is the reason that Caleb survived. Because Mace trained Depa Billaba, and so she must have sensed his death in the Force. They were both on Coruscant, there was no normal reason that Depa could think of for Mace to just up and die out of nowhere. Mace died a few minutes before Order 66 was issued, so Depa and Caleb got a very slight warning in advance that something was seriously wrong before it actually happened.

Hoping for a new miniseries to replace Leia being announced soon. Not sure what exactly would be right though.

We've had our first wave of Marvel Star wars titles- star wars, vader, leia and kanan. All centred on the OT (I know Kanan isn't). How about the next wave are comics entirely set in the PT?

As we get closer to the release of Episode VII, comics related to the movie are a given. One shots or miniseries dealing with back stories of new characters is what I expect.

But we it's a pretty safe bet that that won't be everything we'll be getting anyway so...

I think Star Wars and Darth Vader aren't so much a wave as the foundation to Marvel's comic line.
