I believe the 2 classified books are part 1 and 2 of the adaptation of Rogue One and they will continue the story after the adaptation is finished. <fingers crossed>

 

I still say Darth Vader Volume 2 is possible, however, it'd be weird that they'd list it as "classified" to not spoil the ending of Darth Vader #25. What, are they holding back that Vader is going to die at #25?

 

It'd be cool if Classified meant some anthology series about....uh whatever, name your poison but I'm just as happy it being Jyn, Aphra, etc. I think most likely the Classified marking is just to hide it's subject.

 

On Jedi Council Harloff mentioned it could be a pre- Ep VIII story. That's likely very doubtful and none of the other people on that talk show even agreed with him either. That is an extra idea I hadn't considered though. You can actually give his opinions some validity though because he does read most of the stuff unlike most of the other people on that show. However still very unlikely it would have anything to do with Ep. VIII as they definitely do have a hands off rule right now in my opinion for characters like Luke and Rey.

Darth_Pevra Yes I just posted that link on the previous page. Chances are there is a mini they are keeping secret as well.

 

Bob Igor's told the investors yesterday to not expect Rogue One to do the same numbers at TFA. I think it's fairly obviously, but needed to be said, rightfully so.

With that in mind, I would hope that his obvious foresight trickled down so that Kathleen Kennedy and gang have something up their sleeve, like a comic, to drum up more interest for R1 and get more people in seats more than once.

Therefore, I hope the "Classified" comic is somehow tied directly to R1, wet people's appetites without spoiling, and then continue that story of those characters who might die in the film with interesting back stories. Depending on what we're getting in the R1 movie, the first book could show us young Jyn Erso being very "Ezra Bridger"-esque and giving the Empire a hard time which will lead to her eventual capture in the movie.

 

I'm starting to really doubt its Rogue One related. Marvel usually waits and sees which characters and parts of the story people like before committing a series. Look how long it took after Episode VII to get a Poe Dameron series. There will probably be a R1 spinoff comic at some point but I don't think it will be right away.

 

A small teaser of an upcoming comic by Charles Soule. I'm not sure if this is going to be part of the Poe Dameron line or if it is a new series.

 

Can't say for sure, but it makes perfect sense to have Mr. Bones appear in a Poe Dameron issue(s) considering that Snap Wexley is a part of the series too.

 

It's NYCC this weekend, ought to be some news.

 

I've read on Jedi-Bibliothek about NYCC. Gillen, who was a guest there, said that the final scene between Vader and Aphra will be apocalyptic and that the main protagonist of the new classified series wears the coolest hat in the galaxy.

One could at first think that this could be Cad Bane, but I doubt it's him. Why all the secrecy around the new series if it is just about Cad Bane and not about Rogue One or Aphra? Remember, Aphra also has a "hat" from a certain point of view.

 

We all know who wore The Hat.

That is an interesting tease. The first awesome-hat-wearing candidates who come to my mind are Cad Bane, Embo, and K'Kruhk, and I'd love a comic series about any of them!

but it's interesting current rumors are saying Rogue One trailer will be next week and yesterday they said SW Classified will be revealed next week. Coincidence?

 

Next week will also be the end of the Darth Vader series.
