im not knocking the trades just got the rest and love them and if you get them online they can be just as cheap or around the same price its just me and my ocd also any one know why in star wars vol 1 at the back in the covers section they dont have all the action fig covers just up to issue 7 then in vol 2 they have all the covers for them issues so no fig covers for issues 8 to 12 sorry drives me crazy haha

 

What’s the latest on the Thrawn comic series? Haven't heard anything about it since it was announced.

 

It starts sometime is the spring, and is being adapted by Jody Houser who did a great job with the Rogue One adaptation.

Well we can add more Star Wars titles to the very good selling list. Not from Marvel this time but from IDW. Both IDW releases of Star Wars Adventures placed in the top 100 (with #1 placing at #38). Sales like that seem pretty extraordinary for IDW. Not sure how often IDW gets stuff that high but according to Comichron the highest selling IDW release that wasn't Star Wars placed at #156.

All in all Star Wars released eleven issues in September with all but one of them finishing in the top 100. I personally think I am going to have to put my cut off point at just getting the Marvel stuff.

 

Looks like amazon.com is undergoing update for future Marvel trades so Amazon-fishing might give us some new provisional info soon.

Pretty much all Star Wars releases in single issue and TPB form are doing really well.

Here's how it tends to go:

• 2 months ahead, regular monthly solicits.
• A few months ahead, there's Marvel's Hachette catalog for retailers which can be found online by us too. Currently, it goes up to end of April 2018.
• Every so often Amazon updates their catalogue too and that tends to be a few months ahead of the Hachette catalogue.

Now, there have been, from time to time, zombie listings of books that never came out, so the best way to operate is use Amazon as an early warning system, Hachette as confirmation and then keep an eye out for any really good pre-order deal.

Looks like we're at the point of another Amazon update.

 

I have great news for all my fellow hardcover collectors!

Just in time for the Han Solo movie, we are getting a Star Wars: Han Solo oversized hardcover on May 15, 2018!

It appears to be 232 pages, while the TPB for the Han Solo miniseries was only 120 pages. It could be a couple months before we get a description, so in the mean time I'm sure there will be lots of speculation about those remaining 100 pages. It seems likely there will be another miniseries or a couple one-shots leading up to the film, which would fill that space.

Was there any info from Hachette about any upcoming Epic collections?

 

No not yet, the only new Star Wars items were the Han Solo OHC and Poe Dameron vol 4 TPB, but it was only for May/June so there should be another epic collection soon.

Also worth noting, the solicits confirmed the Han Solo OHC and its contents: Han Solo #1-5 amd Star Wars #8-12. So they double-dipped with 5 issues already in the Star Wars vol 1 OHC, which is incredibly disappointing...

I refuse to buy, the line must be held here!

 

I'm torn. On one hand, the Han Solo series should look excellent in the Oversized format. On the other hand, the double dipping feels grimy and has deflated my hopes for the future of OHCs in general. I'm tempted to just cave and get the TPBs at this point.

 

Is Aphra hooking up again???? She's such a player. A whole 'nother comic could be made focusing strictly on her dating life.
