Congratulations to Stuart. He is a fantastic artist and deserves such a huge push.

Already got it! Big fan. Love this choice, great followup to Cassaday.

I want Immonen to draw every single thing that could conceivably be drawn, so calling this choice "nerdgasmic" might be an understatement. :D

Excited to see Boba Fett get some exposure in issue #6. Really hope they shoot for the Man-With-No-Name characterization seen in TESB (maybe they could add a bunch of "chink"'s in panels where he walks to signify the sounds of spurs?).

Yep, also the only thing I am kind of excited for, maybe New EU can fix Boba, since he turned into something of a mess in old EU, though he started out great.

I really liked the portrayal of Boba in "A Barve Like That", it perfectly fit my mental image of him.

I only hope this means we're that much closer to a Nextwave take on Star Wars, come on, we've got half the creative team! We just need Wozza!

Star Wars couldn't handle Hickman art.

Wait, Hickman can draw? I already thought he was a good writer.

    It's complicated. Google Nightly News.

Is it normal in the comic industry for a title to change writers after only 6 issues?

You haven't read either The Nightly News or Pax Romana? Hint: Do so.

What are you talking about? Aaron's going nowhere. If you meant artists, depends on the artist. I mean getting 6 issues in 5-6 months from Cassaday is a record, but Immonen is an entirely different case.

A lot of Hickman's creator-owned stuff can be tough to get your head around, but IMO Nightly News is his one utterly indispensable piece of work.

It's very close run but Pax Romana just gets the edge for me.

    Nope, just Cassaday.

I am thrilled to have Stuart Immonen drawing the monthly Star Wars title. He was who I wanted on the title when I first heard that Star Wars was officially returning to Marvel. He is one of Marvel's best artists at this point, and I am excited to see his take on the Galaxy Far Far Away.

Hickman's tweet aside, I think the "special" guest artist is probably going to be classic Star Wars artist Howard Chaykin. He has worked a lot with Marvel over the last several years, and he has such a strong association with the original Star Wars run at Marvel, I think he is almost the only choice for me, and definitely who I'd like to see. I look forward to seeing it announced later this week.

Sounds like Hickman was just joking about Star Wars 7. He teases Jason a lot on twitter. That said, I love his art and graphs so I would welcome seeing his art again before he says goodbye to Marvel for awhile (I'm something of a graphic design nerd.)

Despite being utterly lost in Hickman's Marvel stuff, I really liked what little I read and what I am hearing about now.

If Hickman was writing a Star Wars title, I'd be all over that. Whenever he's ready to come back to Marvel, I hope that's one thing he tackles. He does cosmic so well.

Though it won't be permanent. I remember seeing an interview were he said he has no idea what he'll be doing 6 months after Secret Wars is done, but that one possibility would be Star Wars.
