Amph Marvel's Daredevil (Born Again, Again, Being Filmed Again)

I remember this.

I think my personal favourite story thread from Season 1 is Fisk's relationship with the painting because of the outstanding writing. This is why the fights and action are secondary for me.

 

They can go many ways with Elektra. The movie made the mistake of taking the background of a completely different character (Echo) and slapping it on her. I'm hoping the series manages to capture the bleakness of Frank Miller's depiction of Elektra, no matter how many liberties they take with the background.

 

Based on character depictions so far, I envisage it being bleak because the show is all about contrast and echo.

Fisk has moved on from his childhood as an adult and lives independently, yet he needs the painting from the gallery to complete him.

Matt believes in fighting for the common man within the confides of the law to the extent that he refuses good money, yet he works outside of the law as Daredevil.He enjoys being Daredevil and inflicting pain, yet he seeks salvation. Meanwhile, Matt sees Stick as a father figure while being his biggest critic and even ashamed of him to an extent because Matt sees a version of himself within Stick.

See the patterns? Every white has its relative contrast. Now take some guesses with Elektra.

so who's playing Elektra ?

 

Elodie Yung (there seem to be complaints amongst some fans that she isn't Greek):

 

Um..no. Kinda, sorta. Stick and Elektra were on opposite sides of their respective "war". Stick represents the Chaste, opposite number to the Hand. Although Elektra was his disciple for awhile, she ended up with the Hand for awhile before striking out on her own as an assassin and mercenary.

 

The Punisher and Elektra cast, sounds like season 2 is going to be awesome!

 

For anyone complaining that Yung isn't Greek, it's worth noting that persons with Asian heritage can be born Greek nationals, with Greek citizenship, and grow up in Greek culture speaking Greek. ZOMG SHES CHINESE isn't a fair criticism IMSIO.

 

Or she's half-Greek, half-Asian (Yung is half-French, half-Cambodian). Her father was a diplomat, he could have easily met her mother while traveling/on assignment in Asia.

 

Or her mother was a male order bride for her Greek father.

 

Wow! Who knew that Euros and Asians can have fertile offspring!

is this the actual costume ? it seems a bit of a bright red considering the tone of the show we've had at this point , you know - they tend to go for darker muted colors 'cos it's more 'edgy' or something .

 

Wondering that myself. Frankly I'd like to see DD himself in something that hue.

 

But it is more comic - book accurate.

Well it shows that most people didn't watch the last GI Joe movie or found memorable.

Yeah, bro, if not for that you totally would have asked her out.

 

I liked the last GI Joe movie more than the first one, however, her performance in particular doesn't quite stand out. I do remember a bit Cobra Commander's breakout and when that disguise guy was the President and he said he was gonna drop a nuke and everyone started freaking out and he chuckled and played angry birds on his phone and then Cobra Commander walked in all badass-like and laid down the law.
