Amph Marvel's Daredevil (Born Again, Again, Being Filmed Again)

I hope the Punisher has a team-up with Spider-Man like the Ennis run, where he uses Spidey as a club to beat the tar out of the bad guys.

I hate the Punisher. I just have always really, really hated the Punisher, so when he was announced for this season... I got excited! Because my sincerest hope is that I get to watch Matt beat the tar out of him at least once, preferably more than that.

Also, I've been thinking about this a lot, and you know who I'd like to see introduced in these Defenders Netflix series? Moon Knight. That would be mint.

I have not liked any of the previous cinematic versions of the Punisher. I always found them lacking the proper intensity, determine and anger that was portrayed in many of the comic books. Meaning, we've been getting a PG-13 version of the character. So, I'm looking forward to Netflix's iteration of the character as I'm sure it will be the R rated version. Moreover, the Punisher will most likely not be wrapped in some shoehorned "emotional relationship" where he spends his time protecting rather than hunting the street for criminals.

I think Moonknight is perfect for Netflix. I hope it happens.

 

So that scene above must really grind your gears, because it's the best trolling of DD ever? Punisher just destroyed him. So good.

 

You think we'll see a Battlevan in this series?

 

Most likely. I don't see Punisher taking the subway or jumping from roof top to roof top.

Some say there was a Punisher van/truck easter egg in Capt: The Winter Soldier.

And there was the Atreus Plastics freight truck easter egg in Daredevil.

 

I don't collect these myself, but it's good they're making these for the Daredevil series.

And all three Murdock costumes too!

A few more released. Costume for Daredevil looks a little odd, might be the lighting:

 

I'll be honest, I'm not feeling that Daredevil costume.

 

It's odd, isn't it? It looks unfinished, like a prototype they test our for size before they stylise it with colour. If you look at the shot of him with Frank, he's just wearing sneakers.

 

I convinced my dad to give Netflix's Daredevil a try. He was put off by the Ben Affleck film and didn't want to give this a chance at all. He almost got all the way through the first episode before he walked away. He said it wasn't exciting enough. :/

 

tbf it doesn't really get good until fisk shows up. i've had to convince a few people to keep going with it after the first ep.

 

Is it bad that the only thing finally motivating me to check this series out is impending Frank? Because man, do I want MCU Frank.

While watching the show myself, I never felt disinterested. But you're right; there's certainly a lot more momentum after Fisk appears.

 

It really took me until the half-way point of the season or so to get hooked on it. Some plotlines that seemed slow at first suddenly kicked into high gear right around there.

 

Yeah, to me, it appears the nose piece is squishing his face down. The mask should cover Matt's entire nose or just raise the cover piece to expose the bridge of his nose like the comic book costume.

That picture of Elektra reminds me of Vanessa Marcil from The Rock. I curious how they're going to mix here character in Matt's life when Karen (I think) will be his love interest.

As for the Frank, I'm still not digging Jon Bernthal portraying him just on the superficial level. However his performances from The Walking Dead and Fury demonstrates he does have the acting chops for the role and I hope he convinces me that he is The Punisher.
