Halo isn't really the same though, it's more of a ringworld, and generates its own artificial gravity via some device.

The one in Mass Effect is more similar to 2001's space station, or even Babylon 5, a fully enclosed structure that rotates to simulate gravity.

New interview on linked from Bioware.com confirms what I suspected - Keith David plays Anderson from the prequel novel. That'll make things very interesting, considering his past with Saren.

Awesome. Even though I don't know who Anderson is, Keith David has one of the coolest voices in the business.

    Book spoilers:

Commander David Anderson, who fought in the first contact war against the Turians, is teamed up with Spectre agent Saren to investigate the destruction of an earth research facility. Anderson is to be evaluated by Saren for possibly becoming a Spectre (there are none that are human) but Saren can barely keep from not killing the human. In the end, Saren discovers that the humans were working on an artificial intelligence and had found an ancient artifact that seemed to hold the key. Saren took the info and killed all the witnesses.

That's the plot in a nutshell, and about all you really need to know about it. I highly recommend it, however. Good book written by the head writer of the game, and the writer of KotOR and Darth Bane: Path of Destruction.

Yeah, it was a pretty good book. Nice set-up for the game, and it introduces the universe very nicely.

I've been hyped up for this game for years. Just a few more months left! [face_dancing]

Great video. Got tired of watching the gamer geeks discuss things, though, I wanted to see more of the game. :p

And that BioWare guy looks like a dork with that haircut. [face_shame_on_you]

Nice video. But what was with all the Oblivion bashing? I've made lots of great looking characters. They obviously don't know how to use the character editor.

And the way they were talking about how amazing it was to take or ignore certain characters in the story line, it's as if they've never played KOTOR. Come on guys, that sort of gameplay is OLD. :p

But anyway, can't wait till November.

Yeah, that was kind of funny. "Oblivion's system was too complex!" I had no problems coming up with a decent-looking character. Honestly, Mass Effect's customization set-up doesn't look all that different compared to Oblivion's.

I didn't like the Oblivion creation system at all. Then again, I didn't like Oblivion at all.

Oh how I'd like to sue for false advertising. Yeah, PREreview would be more like it as they said their full review would have to wait until November. The only thing they said that I had never heard before was that this was to be the first of a trilogy.
