The go-ahead has been given, May 24th, 2003 is available to me to have an all-out LAN party.

Who: Anyone willing to have a torturous...er...um, wonderful time!

What: Local Area Network Party. Essentially, a temporary network of computers setup soley for the purpose of gaming and sharing shtuff. (I know I didn't need to explain it, I just enjoy it)

When: May 24th, approximately 5:30 PM until 8, 9, 10:00 AM Sunday morning. Last one to let their head hit the keyboard wins!!

Where: My current place of residence.

    Why: Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa....

Essential details: YOU MUST BRING your own computer, which includes but not limited to the box (with everything inside), a monitor, connection and power cables for each, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, CAT 5 cable (prefferably 12+ feet), any games you might have, and headphones. Commonly forgotten items include mousepads and power cables (Lord Reaper has been to 4 of my 6 LAN parties, and has forgetten his pad...each time ;) ). Bring money as well. Pizza will be ordered from TC Luigis. 10 bucks in small bills (5 and 5 singles) should cover it, but note that the bill will be equally divided among each participant. Of course if you don't want some of the best pizza ever, you don't have to, you can just gorge on whatever snack food is around and drown in green Dew, which will be flowing like water.

Games on the menu will include but not be limited to Quake 3 (deathmatch and Classic Capture the Flag), Battlefield 1942, Serious Sam 1 and/or 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament 2003 (assuming I can get a working version), and CounterStrike. Didn't see a game on the list you want to play? Not a problem! If this party is as big as I'm hoping it will be, there will be more than enough people to have 2 different FPS games on at the same time, or 1 FPS and 2 RTS, whatever.

That about covers it. If you don't have one or any of the games mentioned, let me know as soon as possible, like before the meeting.

ah yes, the X-Files mousepad, with the 4 years, and hundreds of hours of Quake sweat soaked into it...it's like a good luck charm or something.

    Sigh...the memories.

I might be there. Depends on what I can or can not do.

BTW: My mouse is a $1 scrolling mouse(normal). And it has treated me well.
And, my keyboard was $10 at Fry's.

MJ, since you bumped the post, I'm also assuming your going to be at said event!

Tip: Bring your gameface, just because you're a girl doesn't mean we'll take it easy on you.

Thank you good sir. Plans are still set as they were before. I may actually be throwing a bit of Deathmatch Classic in there for the old time gamers (like me) to get all nostalgic and stuff.

Bahh, cheater.. the only reason you're throwing that in, cheater.. is because you know no one can whip you, cheater, in that game!
In fact, ego tripper, no one even comes close.. so it's an "death-ego-match trip-classic"!!!!
Speakin' of trips... Real excited about the matrix sequel with my fav. fan force!

just kiddin' by the way Ronin.. well, mostly just kiddin...

Well, I dunno about the cheater part, but as I recall, you were pretty much unbeatable at Quake 3 at the last LAN party. I managed to kill you a few times, but it was mostly me trying (unsuccessfully) to stay alive... :)

Well, take my abilities with Quake 3, increase by about 300%, and that's a good indication of me in Deathmatch Classic. Sigh, maybe we shouldn't play that game.
