Matrix: New Genesis

Over a thousand years ago a man changed the path of history. He altered the destruction of Zion and brought
peace to man and machine. Yet it was peace that would never last. Though out matched, out numbered, and with no
savior man sought to free those in bondage. Man continued it's war against machine.

As time moved forward more and more where freed from the clutches of the machines. Yet with each man that was
freed a hundred more where born into slavery. Man did not understand the power of his enemy. Humans are flawed
they did not perceive that we had crushed them in the past. Yet we kept our pact with Neo, until we could no longer
ignore the flies that surrounded us.

They had rebuilt Zion, mankind believed it's walls would protect them. They placed there trust with in there mighty
ships believing the Electric Magnetic Pulses that they sent against us would destroy us. Instead Zion became there
Gave yard. Not one was spared. Men and women might have lead this assault against us but the children were the true
threat.

If left live they would grow stronger with the knowledge of any weakness we may posses. If a child was left alive it
could spell the end of the machine dynasty. We believed we had destroyed them all but there is one that we missed. A child
unlike any other. A child that had returned to the MATRIX...


Welcome everyone,

If you enjoyed the first matrix movie than this is the rpg for you. If you liked or did not like the second/third
movie than this is for you. As a stated above a thousand years has passed. Neo and crew are no longer alive...in fact
there is no more resistance or rebellion.

Instead we are looking at the start of a new rebellion. Before you ask if there will be a "Neo" the answer to that
question is YES...but be warned every player has the chance of becoming the "chosen one".

Like wise I will need the "child" who will lead the rebellion. Mind you the child was not in the real world for long.
Also I will allow a few canon characters in the game. On another note I will not have anyone who is the descendant or blood
related to any Human characters. The reason for this is once again all "freed" humans have been killed except the "child".
Every one will be limited to two characters at a time. If your character "dies" with in the matrix or the "real world"
that character is either dead or taken over (taken over means you belong to the "system")

RULES
1. Obey the TOS at all times.

2. PM your character sheets to the GM for approval before posting them.

3. Be Creative

4. As hard as this is to follow, no God-Moding.

5. Posts are to be no less than a paragraph. Be descriptive as you possibly can in posts and no one-liners.

6. No killing/Injuring other characters without the player's or GM?s permission. If you do that is GOD-Moding.

7. Please be as detailed and realistic as possible. Try and explain exactly what you are doing, the sensations you are feeling ect??s/he jumped.?

8. Keep all OOC to a minimum if you have questions please PM the GM, Co-GM, or another player.

9. Two character limit and that?s MAX. Do not create two characters and not be able to play both. If your character is killed you may create a new one. If your character is ?taken? you may regain ?control? over said character upon return. (This means you?ll be on the machines side unless ?saved?)

Bio: The Matrix, as is known to both machines and those men whom the Architect has allowed, is a system. The Architect, then, could be considered both its architect and its engineer. The first version of the Matrix was his personal project. Beta 1, as it is now known, was a disaster. Over 50% of the human crops were lost when their minds rejected the utopia the architect had chosen to create. The Architect found these losses less than satisfactory, and so he crafted a second version of the Matrix: Beta 2.

Beta 2 was an attempt to inject some of what the humans considered to be vulgarities missing in Beta 1 in order to compensate. Once again, numerous losses, this time numbering at about the 40% plagued this version of the Matrix software, causing the Architect to draft a new version of the Matrix software, one designed around the more nuanced complexities of the human intellect. The first, fully functional version of the Matrix thus came into being.

One variable the Architect had not foreseen was the continued rejection of the software by approximately .9999875436 repeating percent of the crop. These humans went on to create Zion. Another, the reiterating statistical anomaly known as The One, turned out to be a more serendipitous one, at least for the following 600 years.

Based on the architect's calculations, the Matrix would require a full system reboot every 101.21898 years. The One, as it turned out, was capable of entering the Source of the Matrix in order to reiterate the program. The Matrix would reset, Zion would reset, the Architect would reset, a cycle without end. Therefore this version of the Architect is technically the 10th (The sixth cycle being interrupted by the One anomaly known to humans as Neo, a particular series of events the Architect would prefer to forget if he had the ability to forget his past iterations).

In his more general role, the Architect serves to balance the equations guiding the Matrix. He sorts out flaws from his Control Room, his monitors informing him of all irregularities in the procedure of the program. And he knows that soon, very soon, he will once again present the recurring anomaly with the choice, and he will once again be renewed.

After all, the Architect himself prophesied it.

Bio: Katherine came from an average family; mum, dad, younger brother and older sister, dog. Katherine felt a bit lost in the crowd and so would frequently act out. Not quite a delinquent, her decent grades kept her on the right side of most of her teachers. In her final year of high school she started going out with a guy, John Hawks, who introduced her to a circle of hackers, programmers and general misfits. Katherine had finally found somewhere she could be something more, and fit in perfectly. For two years they kept tabs on government operations but one day there was a raid. Katherine got away but John had been killed and she blames herself for what happened. This was six months ago, and Katherine now works at a bookshop, trying to put the hacker part of her life behind her.

I'm locking this game due to 1.) its inactivity and 2.) the bizarre posts by some people above. Sabith, if you want to get this game back on the road, in this thread, let me know and I'll clean it up. For now though, this looks just like an OOG disaster waiting for someone to notice. Cromwell and Hal, please don't spam. If I had caught this early, bans may have been issued.
