Could I just bring my book to the store for signing? Also, how long do these things usually last(Talk&Signing) and is it only for the RotS Novel?

Sorry, i'm kinda new to book tours. ;)

How come no one ever comes to Connecticut? I still think the east coast was owed C3. :( The midwest already had its turn. :(

Matt's a pretty nice guy, and he's mentioned he'll happily sign as many books as he's able to. So if you don't have copies of his other novels (most notably Heroes Die and Blade of Tyshalle), I'll venture to say he'd be happy to see someone buy copies for him to sign....

His tour blog is here if you're interested as well:

i'll be checking out that blog every few days now. ;)

And i'll probably end up buying at least a paperback copy of "Heroes Die" and read it. I've read the excerpt, and it sounds interesting.

I'm going to bring my Shatterpoint and RotS novels and get them signed, too. :)

    Can't wait for the 25th!

What I would like to know is how many of j'all went to any of these and what did you like/dislike about them. I think that would make nice feedback for the Del Rey people. I went to the Kensington, MD event and it was way cool. It wasn't as crowded as the Zahn or first Salvatore event I went to and Matt is such a nice guy. I am delighted he got the deal. :) The Boarders was nice and big and had a great selection of stuff. They even had valet parking. Must be how the other half lives. I spent way too much money! But now I have some great things to read.

The best part was that he read the introduction and did such a great job, people just shopping there were mesmerized trying to find out who he was. Bet he sold more books by doing that. ;)

Usually an author's talk will be anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour, depending on what he or she has to say, the audience's mood, and any Q&A session stuff. a signing can go by fairly quickly depending on how organized people are... typically after a talk, the bookshop staff will get everyone in line. depending on how many people show up, they may impose a limit ahead of time on how many items can be signed. usually most authors will sign any piece they've written, although sometimes some shops may limit 3 items per customer or whatnot for prolific writers. if you have Traitor and Shatterpoint, bring them to be signed...
