Still waiting on my Lor San Tekka Funko POp.

I mean if the female droid from Maz's castle, ME-8D9, can get one, certainly he can.

I have watched the Clone Wars, but I guess the developement of Jar Jar did not stick with me. It is a good cartoon, but I doubt it will be viewed regularly 100 years from now--the saga films will be.

    That would have been great.

I had a similar idea during the prequel era. I figured Lucas would do some kind of ultimate edition of the Star Wars Saga when he was finished EIII.
I thought it would be cool if they replaced Captain Antilles with Jar Jar.

I don't know if it's been posted before but I think it's possible Lor San Tekka turns out to be
the son of Obi Wan and Satine

That's only your speculation, so there's no need to spoiler tag it.
    Anyway, to adress your theory:

That would put Lor San Tekka at around 55 years old in TFA. Max von Sydow was 85 when he played the role.
And there's nothing in TCW that even remotely supports this theory.

Unless you're suggesting that he was concieved during the Great Clan Wars, when Obi-Wan and Satine first met? That would make him what? 65? Still twenty years younger than he appears to be.

If that live action TV show set during the dark times ever sees the light of day, I'd love it if LST has a part in it. He'd be in his twenties/thirties.
After all, GL himself came up with the Church of the Force for that show...

Ok. I like using the spoiler function too. Gives it some mystery.

Timeline of the galactic history has Lor San Tekka born around the time Obi Wan met Satine, which I guess would be the great clan wars. Between 41 to 36 BBY so that would make him about 69 to 74 years old. Don't know how canon it is or if relevant. But TCW did hint to something possible when Anakin asked Obi Wan if he and Satine had history and Obi Wan didn't want to talk about it. It's left open to give Obi Wan an heir if the studio wants to go that route.

Plus Mark Hamill, who is 65, is playing someone who is 54 in the timeline so the actor's age isn't the main focus. Aging can easily be explained because of different planet conditions and lifestyle.

Another possible link. Mark,65, playing 54. Max,85, playing 74. Both 11 years difference.

Ok not a real link, just a fun random fact.

Hey guys! I found no suitable thread support for my theory maybe Kyle Ren is actually a good guy. One of my proof is that he kills Lord San Tekka. Maybe he was a Sith Lord. It is said he was helping Luke. Everyone will be a surprise when it is will be revealed Episode VIII that Luke Skywalker is also turn to dark side. Lord San Tekka was maybe his master now when hes dead Luke tried to lure Rey to Hawaii island to train him to apprentice. Something is wrong! What you guys think?

Well, his look is somewhat reminiscent of Dooku's and he is killed in a somewhat similar manner during the film's opening act...
    Totally an intentional hint!!!

Yeah, he was also in The Greatest Story Ever Told as Jesus, or the alternate title of the film: The Tale of the Three Blofelds (Von Sydow, Telly Sevalas and Donald Pleasance were all in it.)

I really like his portrail of Lor San Tekka. He made a mystery old new character that I look forward to finding more about. I congratulate him for that

The Force Awakens is the biggest waste of Max Von Sydow's talent there ever was. And to top it all off he gets killed by some whiny emo kid. That must've been the biggest, hardest kick in the nuts to him that he has ever received.

I don’t see why. He had the opportunity to make a small part interesting and he took it. He breathed life into that character with gravitas, thus making the most of the little screen time he got.
That’s not wasting talent; that’s using it.

His response to Kylo's comment about "look how old you have become" is one of my favorite lines of dialogue in the movies. Probably because of the way it's delivered, in that MVS voice... it's great. Wish we had seen more of his character.
