May 16th - FFUK Badges

There has been interest by some to wear badges on Celebration Day in Leicester Square.

Designed at 150dpi for a standard 3.5" x 2" clip on badge (from any stationary shop.)

- seems to be a popular choice.

What does everyone think?

I'm willing to print out a few colour sheets of these badges if anyone is interested.
Possibly, some pre-printed with your FFUK name if you let me know in advance.

Since a large number of us are meeting up in the Bar at the Regent Palace Hotel, Picadilly Circus (Sunday (15th afternoon/evening), this would seem a good place to distribute them.

Anyone interested?

 

I'm not going to wear a badge, but I'll be wearing a black bomber jacket with the Star Wars logo embroided in red on the back. Won't be able to miss that!

With being stuck in the dark for the better part of a day, I think shades would be a good thing. I go to the movies a lot, and it always bothers my eyes when I go out into the light. Even though my house isn't far from my local theatre, I still have to wear shades when driving home because it takes a couple of minutes for my eyes to adjust to the light.

I tried this. Although i asked in the other thread, Ill ask here: What kinda of paper are you planning on using? becuase I was gonna get myself a sheet of glossy paper adn tehn laminate... however glossy is kinda expesive for one sheet


Whatever happens, Im staying at the regent palace. so Im cool with anything I think

 

Orn, I was thinking of printing on thin card, cut into 3-1/2" x 2" pieces.
These can then be easy placed into those clip-on name badges. I should be able to 'liberate' a dozen or so of these. (Only worth a few pence each anyway.)

 

I'm in the process of laser printing the FFUK badges for celebration day.

If anyone wants a badge pre-printed (with their name) then let me know asap!

I have also 'acquired' 35 plastic clip-on holders for the badges which can be distributed with teh badges.

As agreed, I will be available to handout the badges Sunday afternoon/evening at the regent palace bar (or on the day inside/outside the Empire) Just look for a short bearded jedi with a badge

I really like the Vader badge but the orange stands out more - put me down for a badge - YODA THE CODER. Can someone give me directions to the regent palace bar - I'm not a londoner (leeds). I'll be down around 8pm - girl in no costume (sadly). Any other girls???

I am interested in a badge. You could have "spoiler levels" for people who don't want to know one iota of information about Rots beforehand, c.f. the liningup.net group badges at the Grauman's theater in Hollywood.

Also, since people are posting different designs, you could print out a few different ones as long as FFUK is in a big clear font. The spoiler levels could be as simple as "no spoilers please" or you could color code the badges.

I'm trying to start a discussion of what time to meet Sunday on the places to stay thread (I think our flight gets into Heathrow around noon).

Anyone with pictures after the bumnumbathon can send them to me. If I find an network in the hotel I can post them from the bar after the show. If you email them (master_greedo@hotmail.com) please compress them to 100k, or, you could give them to me in person, via flash or usb memory key. I'll be in something green.

with respect to spoilers, who here is wants to know spoilers and who is spoiler-free? I happen to be spoiler-free.

I'd like to do the badge thing, but I'm not going to be in London until the Monday morning.

Where are you guys all planning on meeting up in the morning? I'm planning to be in the Square from 6am (and I have to be now as I agreed to be part of the BBC radio interview at 6:20 outside Haagen Daz!).

 

I'd also like one of the badges. Good idea about the spoiler levels btw.
