SNG May 18th Star Wars Dress-up Party

Calling all Clones, Jedis, Siths, Droids, Bounty Hunters & Space Aliens gather for a final showdown!

GV will be having a STAR WARS dress-up party at GV Grand garden at 1800hrs with possible free booze and hamper for best dress from Hasbro and others.

Start spreading the words around!!!

Date: 18th May 2005
Time: 1800hrs
Venue: GV Grand
Ticket Price: $9.50 (Sales of tixs starting May 1st)

*Be in at least a Star Wars Tee for the party!

After the party, embark on an Intergalactic Movie experience @ 1910 or 1930hrs screening!

Interested people, please post your interest to attend it by this Sat. To differ interest post with regular discussion on this event, do Bold and Underline your "I'm interested to attend it" post. Shall we try to make it for the 1930H screening?

For a start, I may get approximately 10 tickets on May 1st.

For those without costumes, maybe try renting it from leading Costumes Shops (best reserve it ASAP when ticket is confirmed) or borrow from other members if they got spare.

GV Grand is at Great World City, way behind Orchard Road near Zouk I think. There may still be a Free Shuttle Bus Service to there from behind Orchard MRT; I haven't gone to GWC since TPM so not too sure.

Yes, of course they meant ROTS. How can more than 1 movie only cost $9.50 with the increase in price for cinema tickets. Marathon (3 Movies) will cost around $25+/- unless it's at some Community Centre or Outdoor.

Does anyone have any costumes they're willing to lend? Preferably dark side, but even simple Jedi robes will do.

Please let me know, because I would definitely be interested in attending this if I could borrow a costume.

 

You don't need to go in costume. I'm sure a Star Wars t-shirt will do.

 

i think i got a jedi robe to spare, but very short. even for little me.

and yeah gv grand is at great world city, near rivervalley. near zouk. bus 14 and 16 goes past there.

I can't make it for the 6pm party Hoping to watch the 7.30pm show, but probably not in costume. I'm not familiar with the GWC area... will I be able to get from Bishan to GWC on time in less than half an hour?

 

In a cab it's possible definitely. Because GWC is not really near any MRT station, the next best option is a bus, but depends if there's a direct bus from your school to GWC.

My friends and I would like to join in the party ... We already bought tixs from GV website for the 7.50pm show Can't wait for the screening!

 

Hmmmmm.....I think I might get 20 tickets tomolo if luck is on my side.

Parish/Leah will probably join us for the party while a cosplay friend might for the party and is for the screening.

So the later 7+pm screening ticket for all who're going?

Bracketed ones are reserved and yet to be 100% confirmed or friends of stated member. Think there is space still for 2 more people.

I'm guessing that the party is for those people with either the 7.10pm or 7.40pm screenings or maybe anyone with GV Grand ticket for that day. Either way, come worse gate-crash the Costume Party; they can't resist us with most of us in costumes rite? Population of serious SW Costumers is very small still and most are here.

For those without costume, we'll see if we can arrange something from helping you complete yours or lending you ours or those with extra cash can rent it from the costumes shops. I think I got a TPM/ROTS Handmaid Cloak (maybe with Inner Dress later) at hand while my Sith one need to get rid of the double-sided tape stain first (it used to be my Darth Maul Sith Training Shirt remember?). Others are yet to be confirmed but half are for females.
