NYC, NY May 19th Meeting

It was actually 6 of us last time MysterySith with a 7th who missed meeting us by about 30min.

Would anyone know how to get to this place from Grand Central?

 

I will find out what train goes there, The place is on Broadway between 51st and 52nd

I think the 1 and 9 train go up Bway and from Grand Central you can either take a bus on 42nd Street or the 7 train, get on towards the back on the train and you will be right near Bway.

I hope that is at least somewhat clear.

 

Take the 7 train or the S train from grand Central to 42nd Times SQ. then transfer to the 1 & 9 to 50th street

 

Looks like I might have to make this shindig.

No head count is needed, I was just an idea on who to wait for, I hope everyone can make it by 2:00 but we can wait until 3 for everyone to arrive. I have a mental list of names of people that said they will be joining us.

Hi! I am sure there will be many SW shirts there. The name given once we get into mars will be Star Wars Fans....if MysterySith Agrees with that. So, If you get htere a little later just ask for the Star Wars fans. Also the life sized awesome Vader may be tough to miss

hmmm haven't posted around here in a while (think i'll go on a spree posting in all the topics). i would like to go but i'm 15 and parents would have to come. hehe. and i might not be able to come. If anything will discourage my parents from letting me come it'll be "some freak in a star wars costume" she has since apologized about the freak part after 2 weeks of me being mute to her.

 

Hi Night4554! I hope you can make it and your parents are welcome to join in! At 33 I am still hearing things like "freak in a SW costume" from my older sister!

Your mom is just being a good parent. Too many young adults are left up to their own devices without their parents giving a damn what they are up to nowadays. As I mom myself, I fully understand and applaude her interest in who you hang out with. If it's any help, this will all be in a very public place.

If you cannot make it to this one, I hope you can in the future!

 

damn. it ain't looking good. my dad's getting back early saturday morning and my mom has to take my bro to an event that's 10-4 (although she's not staying) i seriously doubt i can go.....although i really wanted to meet alena kerins

 

I'm there. My friends and I are taking a trip to manhattan that day anyway, so we'll stop by. I'll be there roughly 130. I'll wait out front for Vader.

 

Damn. I have rehearsal upstate that day and won't get back till 8PM.

Early July sounds good! In fact every 2 months would be splendid! That would give many who want to go the opportunity to arrange their schedules to include the event and give us time to plot...errr I mean PLAN interesting things to do! To all who cannot make it, don't worry.....I think this going to be the start of something really good and I am certain we will have many other meetings.
