May 2003 meeting

And for May we are gonna go see a movie. I figured May is the perfect movie meet month as there are gonna be tons of wicked awesome movies out. I'm guessing we are gonna be seeing either Matrix2 or X-men2 but its up to the group. So if there are any questions or just anything random you wanna say post away!

I vote for Matrix.
X-Men2 comes out on the 2nd, so I bet everyone will have seen it by the 17th.

I think Matrix is the way to go. I know I'll have seen X2 at least 3 or 4 times before the next meet.

 

Definitely Matrix. Let's just hope that we get a competent employee to show our movie, and that there are no "fire alarms".

I'm glad I was away on vacation that week.

 

I also agree the Matrix Reloaded is the movie to go to. Everyone will have seen X2 at least 2-3 times by May 17.

 

Provided it's a nice day would anyone be up for a game of frisbee or touch football after the movie? Perhaps even lunch in the park?

( I have more than enough frisbees thanks to the wonderful people at Tropicana)

 

Will this be like last time, where we ate lunch first, or will we be eating lunch after the movie? Either way is fine for me.

Lunch in the park sounds like a fun idea, but if we're bringing our own food, it probably makes more sense to do that before the movie, since movie theater people don't like it when you bring food they don't sell you into the theaters.

However, I won't be participating in frisbee or touch football. I am far too uncoordinated for such things.

 

I figured we could either bring stuff with us or buy something in the area and eat it in the park. I don't mind what time we eat.(Tony,I know you will want to hit the Beantown Pub. Not to worry, I'll go have a drink with you there so you won't miss the sights. )

 

I will check with new member David about bringing bags to the movie theatre. He works right there at the hotel. He will know or find out. I will have him post on this thread.

Roseanna you must try, you did do better the more the pool games went on at the March meet.

 

Did somebody mention the Beantown Pub?

As we get closer to the date, we can see what times the movie is showing, cuz we'll have to get tickets online.

Wish I could make the meet, but I'l be at DisneyWorld with Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee. Oh well...

Ha...wiffle ball...now, if you want to see something that I play worse than pool and frisbee, wiffle ball would be it.

 

Whiffle ball would be fun. I think I have my old whiffle ball bat that I used to beat my little brother up with.

 

I PMed JediGaladriel the other day, and she certainly wants to join us if she can make it. I probably won't - the 17th is my parents' anniversary and I'm already planning a train trip to Ann Arbor, MI for Memorial Day weekend. Money looks iffy to say the least, being that next payday isn't until the 16th.

 

Whiffle ball sounds fun. I used to play that with my older brother when I was little. (No jokes...)

 

I'll be sure to bring a wiffle ball bat and ball.
