Calgary May 22nd "Meet & Greet" Monthly Meeting.

Sorry for the short Notice but....
The "Meet and Greet" May meeting for the Calgary Star Wars FanForce will be:

Monday May 22th, 7:00pm
Lemon Garden Restaurant (Next to Red 5 Collectibles)
2913 Richmond Road SW

Things to bring to this meeting:
* Enthusiasm

There will be no agenda, no presentations, just food, drink, camaraderie and the usual show and tell.


We will need to know for sure if you are going to be there, as they will be opening just for us, if we have the numbers. I figure we need at least 20 confirmed by Saturday AM so Dooks can let them know. Please do not post if you can't make it.

 

I'm there. Prelude - PM me if we have less than 20 - I have a back-up plan.

Dammit, I completely forgot to update my postage. . .

I spoke with Paul, one of the good people at The Lemon Garden. He's up for the event (I guesstimated there'd be about 30-40 people coming by) but he needs to be certain he's going to be making money on the holiday, as he's bringing in staff and will have to correspondingly pay them time and a half/double pay. So if a bunch of folks come and are just drinkin' coffee, he's not inclined to be open May 22nd for the simple reason he won't be making money to cover the expense of being open.

So if folks want to make it a meeting/dinner, that'd be cool, elsewise we may need to relocate to someplace corporate, like the BP up the street or something.

So will we be able to do it, or should we look for another spot?

Ok this is just me but I think we should go with another spot cause I don't think will have the numbers. So SithatHeart mentioned a plan B maybe we should consider that. Or just change the to BP's or something like that considering it's deck weather now maybe we can secure that easier.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Yeah, if it's going to be a dozen or so folks it might be prudent to just book a table at the Boston Pizza up the street and then have everyone meet at Red 5. Of course, I won't be going, but it's nice to have ideas.

I can make it just been away from my pc the last couple days so I have not had a chance to post. Where ever it may be just let me know.

 

Got another meeting on monday but ill 90% be able to go. BP sounds good to me =P

 

I do have an empty house (wife/soon-to-be-ex-wife and kids are out of town)available if need be...apart from the fact that it might be too deep in the SE (McKenzie Lake)for everyone to get to.

Michelle Sorry I didn't get back to you today. I was away from the computer all day building a deck out back.

I made a reservation at BP's on Richmond Road for 7:30. I figure we all meet at Red 5 for 7 then head down to BP's for 7:30. Reservation is under the "fanforce". See you all there!.
