Abq May Meeting

Hey all,

Just a reminder that our monthly meeting is this Sunday. I don't know if there's anything "official" that we need to discuss. If there is anything, please bring it up...

The planning for the 1st annual Mos Alba Putt Putt Tournament is on hold for now...

Hopefully, we'll have some new faces show up.

oh and I wanted to see if anyone wanted to drive to BFE-Edgewood for a 4th BBQ on the 3rd of July.

 

hmmmmmmmmmm, My mom will be out of town the 4th of July and I just got a job at Smith's (by my house) so... I hope to be there on Sunday.

Nice to have seen everyone! it was so cool having a whole bunch of people there! Such an amazing turn out! Ken, Max and Jack are sooooo cute! lol I love little kids, can you tell!? Hopefully I'll make it out to Cloudcroft. but it was nice to see everyone as always!

 

What a great meeting! We didn't get much accomplished (do we ever?) but what a great turnout! I think it was a record! 16 or 17 people with plenty of new faces (we missed you Skyra!).

I'm sure wook will post minutes when she has a chance!

Info on the June meeting/anniversary will go up either today or tomorrow!

That really was an great turnout and it was really interesting taliking to Earl, Dave and their CO (forgot his name?) about the troubles the ST fanforce has had with Bubonicon... They have me excited to cause a little trouble and competition for Bubonicon now!
I was trying to think of places we could meet that could seat 20+ people in case we have a big turnout again... but can't think of any yet...
But anyway, nice seeing and talking to everyone!

 

its just getting everyone back each month!

It was wonderful though. I think we annoyed the workers in the cafe-that was fun in itself.

Ken-the CO was John. I only remember cause I thought he was Earl. I am glad Theo came as well. He seemed so excited to see us at the Toy Show. His mom says they will definatly be back at the June Meeting.

Oh, yeah, very glad to see Alphonso and his family there, too! Varza, have you guys swapped Royal Guard costuming tips?

 

nope not yet. i don't have any tips to trade.

it was just nice being there again with everyone.

Wow! We had a record number this time! And some new faces too - welcome to Theo, Alfonso & Amy, and the members of the USS Anasazi, and the newest member of the Bear Clan - Ken's padawan Max. (What a cutie!)

With such a large crowd it wasn't much of a meeting - mostly a meet & greet, hang out kind of meeting.

Earl,John & David from the ABQ Star Trek group invaded (peaceably of course ) our little corner of the galaxy. Got to see how their group works and plan to at least have some joint activity (Bubonicon) in the future. See the Star Trek thread for more information on their meeting times & activities.

The June meeting scheduled for June 20th falls on Father's Day, so we won't have a regular meeting, although we will have someone at the cafe to meet anyone who shows up. In lieu of a meeting, the plan is to have a movie marathon/Mos Alba anniversary party at Brother Halo's house. Currently polling about times and which version of the OT to watch.

If I left anything out, please let me know. Great turnout guys!!!!!
