Sorry this is a bit late folks, but here's a quick summary of what was discussed on Sunday's meetings:

*welcome new members - we welcomed Kayla to her first meeting!
*Expo wrap up - the attendance numbers beat previous years by a landslide, and all of the guests had positive things to say about the show. Thank you to everyone who volunteered! Your help was integral to the shows success!
*Summer (June-August) meetings/get togethers- we are unable to use the Eau Claire space until sometime in September. Just a reminder - ANYONE can call a meeting. Just be sure to set up a time and place/space we can use. Suggestions for summer meet-ups were outdoors, in public parks. Other suggestions for summer fun were outdoor activities such as baseball/dodgeball/volleyball games, an FF camping trip, and a road trip to Drumheller.
*EU updates (comics, novels, games, etc) -Dooks updated us on the upcoming list of EU material (Prelude highly recommends the Last of the Jedi series - Ben Skywalker kicks some serious butt!). Also, the second book in the Clone Wars (trade paperback series) is out! Coming in the fall is the Art of Clone Wars (Lucasfilm animated series) - it looks fantastic! For a complete listing of SW comics, please stop by Red5! Bottom line - there's lots of great stuff being produced, so don't be afraid to dive in!
*C5 rumours - nothing confirmed as yet, but there will most likely be an announcement at San Diego Comic-Con.
*upcoming shows\conventions (San Diego, Con-Version, DragonCon, etc)- a few members are headed down to San Diego for Comic-Con (and have promised to update us immediately if there's a C5 announcement!), and others are going to DragonCon. We have not received any further contact from the Con-Version folks, but August is still a few months away. If you have questions about any of these shows, please don't hesitate to post/ask.
*Clone Wars news (season 1 DVD release/season 2 news) - a second disc is due out sometime in the summer/early fall that features 4 episodes, including Rookies and the Ryloth trilogy (see the Clone Wars thread for shot of the DVD cover!). To date, nothing's been confirmed for the release of Season 1, but rumours persist that we should see something in late fall (Oct/Nov). Season 2 will mostly likely air around the same time - no word if CTV will be carrying it (they did a poor job during season 1) but apparently the Space channel will be airing episodes again.

*open forum - there was some discussion regarding the focus of the group and the direction it's taking. Pretty much everyone who attended was happy with the way things are being handled. If you have any insight/suggestions/issues, please don't hestitate to bring it up. This group is for everyone and it's only as good as what we all contribute!
