Are they any good? I have all the other CW Novels but the title always drove me off making me assume I had to study medicine before reading it.

I enjoyed them. They had a 'MASH' feel to them. And you don't need a medical degree to understand them..

I really enjoyed both books. Haven't read the short story though.

Can you please point me to the short story? I really enjoyed the books but I didn't know about this short story.

Definatly, that was the brief Reaves & Perry were given and they did it perfectly. I always picture Jos looking like a mix of Hawkeye from MASH (TV series, not Donald Sutherland in the movie) and Dr Cox from Scrubs.

Meh, They were a little slow, but overall not too bad. They're not the worst of the CW books.

I read the first one, thought it was okay, but never went back for the second one. You could see that Reeves/Perry are TV scripters doing this for fun... the characters and what they did weren't really much more than sketches of visual and aural motifs... lots of variation in size, shape, sound and movement.

Didn't think it worked as well on the page as it would on the screen. I didn't get much sense of a third dimension of real, attention-grabbing psychological depth in any of the characters...

But maybe that was just me? [face_worried]

Meh. Light entertainment. Wouldn't mind seeing them working on the TV series... :)
