Meet #6 || March 2003

For March, look forward to a fun filled bowling meet.

If we can get enough people to attend this meet, we may do a team type scenario...like Jedi vs. Sith or something of the like.

This meet will most likely be planned for sometime during the week of March 10-16. If any one particular day is better for you, please send me a private message

Also, we may be able to look forward to a special guest for this meet.

 

Is that special guest me?

I plan on going to the Rhode Squadron meet, as long as it doesn't interfere with the BR meet (15th) or my DM&TR concert (19th).

 

That'd be great if you could make it.

as for the dates, just about anything that week works for me, so i'll let the consensus decide. i'm assuming a saturday would be best for all..

 

Seeing as the Boston meet is on Saturday the 15th, I would prefer the RI meet to be another day so I can go to both. The previous Saturday, March 8th, works well for me. The next Saturday, March 22nd, does not, as I'll be flying home for spring break that morning. Friday evenings and Sundays would also work well for me.

So, that's my input. I really hope I can come to this one, I like bowling (though I'm really, really bad at it).

 

Is this normal bowling or messed up candlepin bowling?

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to revise the dates...and it so happens that the eight doesn't fit in. Does anyone really object to doing this on a week night?

 

weeknights and weekends are all fine by me. i don't believe i've got any prior commitments in the month of march...and i want to make sure it is accessible to all, so peoples, what works for you?

 

a week night would be fine w/me. only date i have something planned for in march is the 7th. i'm going to a concert that night but any other night is fine for me.

 

Except for Fridays, weeknights aren't ideal for me since I have class early everyday and there's a bit of travel time involved in going to and from RI. Do Friday nights or Sundays work for anyone?

 

If it can't work out for the tenative dates (10-13) that is fine.

I'm sure as it gets closer a definite date can be decided upon which will work for everyone.

Sorry that planning for this meet is so troublesome.

 

Weeknights are not so good for me, Friday or Sunday would be OK. Maybe I could get my husband (Admiral Ackbar!) to come along, though he is a way better bowler than I am, LOL.

my vote is for saturday the 8th...cause saturdays are usually good for everyone

i myself always fall down at least once during every game i bowl. so be prepared

So, it seems like the date of choice for this is the 8th. I am going to call the bowling alley in Cranston tomorrow.....

 

Ok I don't know if I'm allowed to meet just yet since I'm new...but the 8th sounds good to me.

Speaking of bowling, there's a site that does custom bowling shirts. They did some for theonering.net. If we could get lots of FF'ers interested, maybe we could do a FF shirt. heheh, that'd be cool! Probably would be too expensive tho..I was thinking of the back design as a training remote as the "ball" blasting the pins...or the obvious Death Star
