Actually, that's a good idea, stinrab - we've been to Fox before and it was cool.

Whenever I go to Sydney I just walk around the place. It'll be no worries for anyone to walk from Central Station to the SCG area. But before then I'll have a look around the city shops. Utopia and such.

 

Also, is it even possible to get from the airport to Fox in one go?

Perhaps it would be better to simply stick to the city - do a tour of it and show Sil all the sci-fi stuff we can find.

Which admittedly ain't much, but since we've already got plans for the night anyway, we only need to fill a few hours...

Airport to fox, airport to fox.

Ummm, perhaps there are some city buses that go via anzac parade.

Else, you can get a 400 to maroubra, and then a 390-even to fox. Similarly, get the 400 to randwick and then a 370-something to fox.

If we go to the city, you guys can show me the SW stuff, i havent got a clue.

But spending the day AND night at fox might get a little monotonous. I am sure we all need a chance to get out and about. Besides only having the night at fox, gives a clearer distinction between when the young'ns are around, and when its time for the 'mature' adults to hang out.

 

Keep in mind I'm on a tight budget as well. I really don't want to spend $50 getting into an amusement park or something when I'd be happier just sitting on the grass somewhere chatting.

 

Dont worry, Sil, most people are on a tight budget. We'll figure out something cheap.

Besides, I am sure you will have a few people buying you drinks, so you should save some money there.

 

That's why I'll be walking Sil. Although I'm alright for money at the moment, things could turn around by then. And I'm a tightarse! Why pay a taxi when you can walk it?

You don't have to pay to get into the bars at Fox Studios. They're outside the actual theme part of it. And I wouldn't pay to go into the the park anyway.

 

And the bar has pool tables, So Shadowfire can show us his stuff yet again

I only wish they were full size, I hate 3/4 size tables

And those pool tables will be really busy. It'll be a Saturday night, after all.

Better bet will be to go to a pool hall in the city (like the one around the corner from the cinemas), before we go to fox. They are pretty cheap, and I will be happy to pay for a table.

If there was a large group of us and we get there early enough (before dinner time), then we'd get a table and keep it no worries.

If you go to that sports bar we could play air hockey as well... that would be worth it. But pool would be damn good enough anyway.

Oh yeah, and the bar is closer at that end.

If u guys wanna make it cheap or whatever, I offer up my place for somewhere we can all meet. Its out of Sydney, but if everyone chips ina few bucks we can get some drinks n food from the shops. No hassles.


Otherwise, Im in for FOX, though the cheaper the better with me too.

 

I don't know about everyone else, but I'd say the closer to the city, the better...

Even if we just went to Fox and made fools of ourselves in that large area you guys played frisbee in.
