Didn't Poe reference 3 squadrons? He was leading Black, but I thought he also mentioned Red & Blue? Unless they were all significantly understrength (possible). Maybe the other two were hanging back to cover the team going into the trench?

 

Maybe, despite being "Black Leader" there's no "Black two, Black three" etc - he leads only Red and Blue Squadron.

Well there were a bunch of other Abednedos (Ello Asty's species) throughout the film. I hope they keep popping up here and there, especially in the Resistance and Poe's crew

 

Ziff has the first Southern USA Accent in a galaxy far, far away so he totally stands out. But yes, everyone loves Asty.

 

Yup. I counted five Abednedos. Three on Jakku, Ello Asty and an Abednedo pilot in the final Resistance Base shot as Rey and Chewie fly away (who may have just been a continuity error). Love their design, and the Tarsunts, and can't wait to see more of them.

 

Don't forget Illco Munico, one of the villagers in Tuunal Village on Jakku and a member of the Church of the Force group with Lor San Tekka. He's the one who screams out when the stormtroopers grab him in the beginning of the movie.

 

Yup. He's the third Adednedo on Jakku I was referring to. The other two are the one standing behind Rey when she was in the Unkar line with BB-8, and the huge Abednedo with the yellow robotic hands dragging his sled.

 

I would like to correct myself. His name is Munica with an A! haha
