Meet this Summer (Paris 25th-27th of July)

RER and train to go to Versailles, but it's quite complicated.
Most of the tourists use cars or buses, easier...

But actually, you guys will stay only two days ? We can't visit Disneyland, Versailles, AND Paris. If you want to visit Paris, you have to choose...

I say Paris also, I can always get my group to go Euro Disney at another point

 

Paris and Disneyland should be the best choice.
Versailles is far away and not easy to go to.
I don't think Versailles is the funniest thing we can do with young people.
What do you want to see in Paris ?
I remember Montmartre and Champs Elysees. What else ?

 

Disneyland is fun but quite expensive, transportation to reach it too.

As for hotels, you should check these sites :

I only found ONE cheap hotel though and it has 5 single rooms (Hôtel des Nations St Germain, 54 Rue Monge ; 12? for a single room, 113? for a double)

and of course, FUAJ.com for youth hostels. This may be the less expensive way, prices are around 18?/19? per night...

 

I sooo want to come...
It will be much better if I get a job in Glasgow during the summer...

We've been looking at travel and accomodation for us in London, how is everyone else getting on?

 

Yep, we are all excited, plus two more people may be joining us

 

Cool with us there is me, Charis and another member going to help this member look for accomodation because me and Charis have kinda decided on our accomodation just not booked it yet.

About the activities - it'd help if you could enlist what you'd like to do. You're the guests, you choose !
Still I can make a list of what can be done in Paris (+cost), though Janne suggested an 'alternative tour' which could be nice too (of course, we totally understand it if people who never went to Paris want to see the Eiffel tower )

 

Can you make the list and give us an idea? I've only ever been to Paris to work so not actually toured it.

Hmm, I don't really need to see the Effel Tower myself. Personally, I like the idea of seeing Paris as the Parisians see it rather - I'm a culture person

 

i think i said it before, but i´ll repeat it. A picnic at the Ile de la Cité !

On the other side of that island (not where Notre Dame is) is a little park, I think close to Pont Neuf, (not sure though...it´s been a while since I´ve been to Paris)
I´d like to do that again.

EDIT: I´d ike to go from Café to Café just watch the people and enjoy the european way of life

Question: Did I miss something or does every group make it´s own reservations for accomodation? If yes, I´d have to kick my fellow GSFF members in the butt to decide on coming or staying at home

I'd go with the picnic idea I am not particulary fussed about the Eiffel tower as I have been to it twice in my life but if there are those that want to see it I am fine going

I guess each group makes there own reservation as everyone has a slightly different idea on where they would like to stay, should be a problem as long as we let the hosts know where we are

 

Unfortunately I have no reason to Kick Senol, cause he´s not coming anyway. His parents force him to go to Turkey with them.
