Well, this is going to be strictly off the top of my head, since I didn't take any notes, and will be vague at best since it was a week ago. Here goes! The BBQ was held at GB's house in Ventura. Apparently, some people were late due to bad beach traffic, Zar and Dante being the last to arrive, at about 1pm. In attendance were: GentleBant and husband Reka YoungJedi11 Keiran and Grandfather marmakekam Zaranne and Dante Food was plentiful...hamburgers, asian salad, asian chicken tenders, potato salad, macaroni salad, tie-fighter sausage thingys, chips and dip, sodas galore, jello, etc., etc., etc. Some of us sat in the backyard, chatting, GB's husband cooking the burgers on the BBQ. Reka and GB were in the house preparing stuff. Zar dashed in and out of the house several times helping and chatting. Much talk was of Galaxies...in fact MOST talk was of Galaxies. GB, YJ, mar, and Keiran play together quite often. Talk did turn to costuming and Lightsabers briefly. YJ had his Lightsaber with him, which he fiddled with constantly. Reka finally took away a piece of it. Talk returned to Galaxies again, which was the case most of the day. Zar and Dante expressed a desire to get the game, but alas, their computer is too slow. Not to mention that their ISP sucks! After eating...and more talk of Galaxies...it was thought that we could all play a game. Keiran wanted to play Cranium, but the Simpsons trivia game was brought out to test mar's abilities. Everyone kind of got involved with it. Then we all went inside, and Zar cut up her AWARD WINNING Cherry Pie. Reka set up the board for Cranium, much to Keiran's delight, but the name never got started. Talk began about Harry Potter, drifted to Galaxies, then the fabulous four (GB, YJ, Kieran, and mar) went to go check something out on GB's computer. Kieran's granfather, Dante, and GB's husband talked a while about Jazz music, while Reka and Zar talked about Dragonriders of Pern and costumes. The meeting/BBQ wound down about 6pm. And a very nice day was had by all. Well, I hope I caught a bit of the day!
