Heh, school is really boring today, so I figured I would stop in and say hi.


So...hi!!

I'm thinking velour/stretch velvet is going to be REALLY warm.....but I might be talked into it. My costume will be nowhere near done, but I guess I could wear pieces.

I think it would be WAY too hot by me to wear velvet, but that's just me...

Criminy, we'll be in an air conditioned restaurant...and look how much clothing I'll be wearing!!!

My cloak is wool and I almost passed out when Grandma made me try it on.

LOL...I'm just whiny because I seem to have no control over my body temp anymore. :~D

Both the outercloak/tabard and longsleeve dress are velvety, so we'll see. I'm sweating in them now as I try on the parts before I start ripping seams and resewing pieces.


Réka, the cloak I'm making over has a floppy hood. Should I get some fusible interfacing or netting or something to help shape it?

You know GB, you should make your little passenger help grade papers. It's only fair.

If you ever need stacks of papers graded you know I'm willing to do it. However tomorrow is going to be really busy and I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay for the whole meeting as it is. Sorry, keep me in mind for the future.

GentleBant, interfacing might help make it less floppy. Bring some along if you have some. Or you could stop at the JoAnn's off Wendy Dr. (it's on the way). (The store is closing *sniff* , but that means everything is marked down .)

Edit: Oh, and I'd be happy to help you do some grading, so bring those piles along.
