Ah, the official announcment. I really want the Cheeto's guy to be there serving dumplings, but I think I will be dissapointed...

I will be there, of course.

An addition to the agenda: More moody ramblings? we shall see...

Ok..thoughts on the Secret Santa thing...

    1. We can either draw names at the meeting or I can do it ahead of time and just tell you who has who.

    2. We will fill out a little interest sheet at this meeting to give to whoever draws us.

    3. Virtual gifts, homemade gifts, or cooked type gifts are definitely OK....whatever the gift is, make it personal! :~) Ideas under this category would be like cookies, a CD burned just for that person, something made from pieces and parts of other thing to make something significant for that person...

    4. All gifts are to be exchanged at the same time at the December meeting, so if you give a virtual gift (say, in Galaxies to another person), then do a fun write up or mock up to give to your recipient.

No min or max on gifts, but let's keep it in the spirit of making it something personally meaningful or fun for the person intended.

    Thoughts?

Sounds good to me, I have ideas I am working up based on who I might get. :)

I like the idea of drawing names at the meeting, just so I can see people's reactions based on who they pick.

I'm a little confused. Isn't the point of Secret Santas to keep the gift giver, well, secret? So how can we "fill out a little interest sheet at this meeting to give to whoever draws us"?

But yeah, Secret Santa is fun. We've been doing it at work since October. The best part is, the coworker I drew was a classmate from kindergarten through high school. (Ok, so sometimes she was in my sister's class in elementary school.)

I think some of us know the others well enough to know what they would like.

Réka, if we're drawing names there, we'll use the interests sheets as our "little slips of paper." In other words, we'll all fill them out, fold them up, then put them into a bag or something and draw out the papers. The paper will list the person's name as well as their likes/dislikes, so the Santa will have something to go by.
We'll still be able to be anonymous that way.
    :~)

Speaking of games, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Oh....my...gosh.

The directions YoungJedi PM'd to me will not work currently, because the Lewis Road offramp is closed. There are two alternatives for people coming from the Thousand Oaks/Westlake area:

Option A (with a bit of backtracking):
101 north, exit at Carmen. Turn right onto Carmen, then right again at the next light, onto Daily. Take Daily to Arneill and turn left. Turn left onto Pickwick.

Option B (sidetracking instead of backtracking):
101 north, exit at Flynn Road. Go straight from the exit, i.e. onto Flynn. Turn left at Adolfo. Turn left at the T-intersection, onto Ponderosa. Turn left onto Arneill, then right on Pickwick.

As you can probably guess, I'll be there. :)
