11:00 AM Official Business - We will be discussing upcoming events, e.g. Halloween.

12:00 PM General Discussion ? We will be having lunch, a Star Wars related chat, and possibly general discussion.



*If you wish to attend events only and participate in discussions about Star Wars and other things, e.g., Pirates of The Caribbean, you can choose to attend our general discussion at 12:00 PM. We will continue to post our meeting minutes so those who did not attend the Official Business section of the meeting can still keep up to date on our upcoming events.

As always, new members are always welcome at all of our events!

Location: We meet at Broadway Mall in Hicksville, on the second level in the food court next to the elevator.

Upcoming Events
--DB516 Monthly Fan club dinner - October 22, 2005 at 7PM Belmore Long Island at AppleBee's. The restaurant is within sight of the Long Island Railroad Belmore station. Be there before 7 or contact the club earlier so we can save a seat for you.
--ROTS release, Halloween Party - October 30, 2005 7PM Merrick Long Island at StarFromIHJ's house. Seating is limited for this in-house party (Small house, Dad makes the rules) so email StarFromIHJ to reserve a spot.
-- ROTS DVD/Battlefront 2 Midnight Event - Release on Monday, October 31, 11 PM - No offcial event seems in the works but members of DB516 may go in costume to a midnight release somewhere.
-- ROTS DVD/Battlefront 2 Release Day Event - DB516 is negotiating with Walmart to do a costuming appearance somewhere on Long Island. 7 PM - 10 PM Details to be announced.
-- ROTS DVD/Battlefront 2 Weekend Event - Saturday, November 5, 4 PM - 8 PM -
at Hollywood Video/GameCrazy in Ronkonkoma Long Island. A confirmed event with DB516 for costumers and non costume members to celebrate the release of the DVD and game. DB516 will set up its fan club table and Prizes will be given for winners of DB516's famous game "Shoot Jar Jar."
-- Fan Films at Westbury Public Library - Friday, November 18 (time TBA) - Not just Star Wars!
-- Holiday Special Party #4 hosted by Rob Tkaos - tentatively scheduled for December 10 or 17. Details TBA.
-- DB516 Children's Hospital visit - Ark, Diane, and Moriah are organizing a visit with costumed characters. Details TBA at next meeting.
-- New York Comic Con at The Javitts Center in NYC February 25, 26 2006 - DB516 and other Metro area groups were considering all going in on a $700 club promotional table. DB516 has decided to not participate due to lack of interest by other clubs. DBb516 will be there as attendees.

- Next meeting on Sunday, November 13 - Nominations for the 2006 staff of DB516 will be discussed
- Following meeting on December 11 - Elections for 2006 staff to take office January 1, 2006

Other stuff
--Star Wars Bowling - The Star Wars Bowling league and prizes seem to aimed at kids. Other consderations are discussed to participate in some kind of bowling competition.
-- DB 516 Fan Film -- Nothing new to report from Rob Tkaos heading the project.
-- Clone Wars season 2 DVD release December 6, 2005 -- Do we want to some kind of store event??

Club Business

-- Moorglade made up a poster for Hollywood Video to promote the event.
-- Discussions of putting together a club portfolio / press kit. More To be discussed over the winter meetings.
-- Treasurer's report and voluntary dues collection -- Expense coming: Domain name renewal, Prizes for the Jar Jar game at Hollywood Video Jar Jar game, and ICON fan club table.
