Oh, and forgot to mention, a post-meeting B&N raid sounds good to me, too, so anyone wanting to carpool can take that into account. (Please, somebody take me up on the offer... I hate driving alone...)

 

Hey all,

First off, I wanted to say thanks for all the messages and phone calls. I have a moody cell phone who selectively decides which messages and calls it likes to receive. I appreciate the calls very much.

Second, sorry for not being there. You have no idea how much I was looking forward to today, and how disappointed I am that I didn't make it. I would have called to say I wasn't there, but I didn't know anyone's cell number (and didn't think about IMing Matt's cell until around 5 minutes, when I saw all his messages on my computer).

The day started off with me waking up at 10:00 AM to an empty house. Yes, that's right, no ride. I started panicking once I couldn't get ahold of anyone, and had no idea what to do. Right now I'm wishing I saw Réka's invitation to a carpool, because I would have taken it in a second. Arrrgh, I'm still frustrated I wasn't there. >

Well, turns out that my parents didn't know I had a meeting today, so they didn't know I needed a ride somewhere. They got home about a half hour ago (2:30), and I figured by the time I got to Ventura, you guys would be finishing up. Thus ends the tale of my loserishness.

So, I hope you all had a great time, thanks for the calls, and I'm more than eagerly awaiting the next meeting now, which better be SOON. I'm looking forward to hearing about it!

P.P.S. This also brings up another subject, we should probably have next month's meeting the 5th or the 12th, so we can work out final ComicCon details before the big weekend.
