Calgary Meeting April 25th - Woody's Taphouse

Ok everyone it's meeting time again and it's at a new location:

Topics to be discussed are:
- Comic Expo Volunteers for table and expo itself.
- Volunteer Shift Sign-Up.
- The Fanforce Store will be open as t-shirts will be ready for purchase.
- 30 days until C4.
- Fun chatting

So come on out and have some fun and get ready for the convention.

p.s.= we need to check if anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to attend.

Yes - Jamie has advised me that the t-shirts have arrived and that they look good. So bring your cash-ola to purchase the first run of Tosche Station T-shirts! (no word on the lanyards just yet)

Oh and YES - members under 18 WILL require a parent to accompany them as this is a bar.

 

I'm assuming its at 7pm as usual???

 

No.....WAY!!!!! Another day I have off! Sweet - I'm pretty sure I'll be there!

 

Crossing my fingers that the lanyards will have arrived by then as well...and the shirts do look good! ( and they came in quick!) I'll be there, and i'm already too excited for LA, just over a month people!! Eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kandosii! I should be able to make it there, with a parent of course. I will bring my CCEE Maul scupture for everyone to take a look at. I would also be interested in a FanForce badge, if i'm eligible.

Hmm... Two things may prevent me from making it to the meeting. I work Wednesday nighs, so I would need to change my shift (fortunalty my hours are pretty flexeble, so I could probably do it). Also, since Woody's is a BAR bar (as opposed to a restaraunt bar) I may not be able to get in with or without a parent. If I can't make it I may just have to give my Maul to Dooks to bring to the meeting, since I think you guys ought to see it before the expo.

 

We'll look into seeing if it's a restaurant/bar and try and get you in as we would like everyone to be able to attend.

Here is the latest list for Fanforce badges. I know we still have 30 days or so, but it is better to get things like this out of the way in advance.

Just to be clear, you will only get a volunteer badge (which includes your entry in for free) if you are volunteering for the Expo.
The volunteer times for the Expo are:
8-12
12-3
3-7

Please indicate which time you would be available for in your PM. If you're volunteering for just our table, we'll work out a schedule once I get all the names.

Jay and I can't make it tonight but we want to sign up for a morning or afternoon shift ( both of us on the same shift please) We will for sure be there! Can't wait

 

Despite Dooks NOT making reservations , I think the meeting went well. Can't complain about the price of wings, though the service was somewhat lacking yet again.

 

The fact they weren't aware that so many of us were coming might've had something to do with the slow service.

Feel free to set up the next meeting and pick the place. As our group continues to grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to find a place that can acoomodate our needs.

Good to see everyone last night. Happy Birthday STARKILLER!! Hope your day was great!

 

I've never had good service with a big group anywhere. If we must have food with our meeting buffet may be the way to go.

We could start having meetings at Coco Brooks. The counter-style ordering would eliminate the "flustered waitress" factor from our get-togethers.
